Dayla, thank you for your honest feedback. The reason Kari says to use 8-10 pumps of the cleansing oil is that you should have enough "slip" as you apply and massage it onto your skin, so that you are not stretching and pulling the delicate facial skin. Kari is much less specific about the amount of serum and tonic to apply, as it really is up to you and your skin type. I hope we end up winning you over, but in the end, if you're not delighted, please just send us an email and we'll refund your purchase. Wow Stephanie, I'm sorry that you are not feeling hydrated, as that is definitely what you should be feeling when you use our system. Please feel free to call us or email, so we can help determine if maybe you're not using enough of the serum. For instance, I'm 62 and find that I need 4 pumps of serum mixed with 8 pumps of tonic to cover my complete face and neck in the daytime and 6 pumps of serum at night mixed with 6 pumps of tonic.
