Contractor Consumer Fraud! Poor quality and incomplet work.
I have sent pictures of the incomplete work and poor quality of the work with no response. I continue to challenge the chart for profit and overhead when I was clearly overcharged for work they did not complete and double charged for the cost of material. What a scam!!! I have paid this family thousands of dollars in the past for work in my home. This experience is a nightmare and I actually have to hire someone to finish the floors where there are large gaps under the cabinets and on a wall that was hidden by the old refrigerator that I had to remove. There are holes in the wall and paint bubbles. The railing only covers 3 of the five steps and after that it's dangerous especially for a senior home. It's sad that they charged me twice the cost of material i.e. cabinets and flooring. UNREAL. I paid for paint. I stained I varnished and I did the backsplash myself and was charged and additional $2,500.00 for "PROFIT AND OVERHEAD" I thought these were nice people a nice family owned business these are crooks who obviously prey on seniors. I am insulted that the work was billed to my financial institution before the job was complete. I have offended that i was charged more than $2,000for their personal profit when they clearly profited well from not finishing the work, not supplying all the material ....I feel incredibly used and it appears that the Kamps have taken advantage of my trusting. The worked 2 and 1/2 days The labor charges were well over $5,000 for two and two brothers who didn't work an entire day. The added charge of $2,500.00 for PROFIT was like peeing on my shoes and telling me it's raining. They are not going to fix the problem so I am looking for another contractor to finish the work. I am also filing a complaint with The Consumer Fraud. they need to justify the charges. I requested an estimate I got a note on a piece of scrap paper. By the way I sent quite a few pictures and asked that Henry come and inspect the work. Never saw him again. Have not heard from him since they sent the bill to my bank. (%^&$#_) crooks.
