Beware of excessive VAT & Import Duty
Don't be conned! The website looks great and the Audra Black Silk Robe & Nightgown is nice, but there are equally good and less expensive brands available in the UK that mean you won't have to deal with the excessive Duty, VAT & UPS handling fee levied on top. This amounted to an additional 38% on top of the price for the garments. VAT at 20% I accept. I wanted to return the items when I realised it would amount to this but Kafemme flatly refused a return, "because it's pure silk". How come? UPS are a nightmare: spent an hour on the telephone being passed from pillar to post trying to obtain an explanation for the charges, without success. Overall an expensive mistake.

Hello Stuart, fortunately, this is not entirely true. 1) First of all, you have purchased a custom item. The item was made according to your provided measurements, in pure silk, for the height you have requested. This is custom order made just for you, custom orders are non returnbale. 2) Secondly, you have purchased a pure silk item with a black friday sale for only 450 USD (with express international shipping included). The set is handmade in pure silk, the set is hand embellished with lace, sewn from scratch for your measurements. If you can find a better deal, that's great! 3) Customers are responsible for VAT and customs in their country. We have no control over your country's government taxes imposed on residents. After the UK Brexit, rules have been changing multiple times and we have never had any problem with UK customers paying their own country's tax. 4) All terms and conditions are written on our website, which you have reviewed already, as we sent the information multiple times.
