Raised my rates even though my credit score is higher
Response from Just InsureDec 8, 2023
Hi James. We're sorry we had to raise your rate. Credit score is one of the factors we consider when setting your rate, but it's not the only one. I can assure you that we are working very hard to provide the lowest rate to all our customers.

I wish you had a zero star rating that would be better... I'm tired of getting SCAMMED from Just Insure!!! If you forget to take a odometer picture no one else can take the picture or anything to prove to you the reading I travel for work I have a few cars and I forget from time to time and you continue to Bill and SCAM me and say you can't do anything except keep billing me... It's absolutely ridiculous!!!!

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience, Mr Fed Up. We do ask our customers to take odometer photos regularly to make sure we charge accurately for our per-mile insurance. Without an odometer photo, we simply don't know how much the car has been driven and have to assume 50 miles per day was driven. If you provide an odometer photo after we have charged you, we will happily refund you the difference.

They have no appreciation for long-time customers and constantly find ways to charge more money
They have no appreciation for long-time customers. It seems that because they're one of the cheapest insurances out there, that is, only if you barely drive your vehicle, they are constantly finding new ways to charge you more money. For example, the odometer picture. They send this notice at different times throughout the month, and have this policy that if you don't take it within the 3 day limit, you'll be charged a whopping $50. Then, recently, they unexplicably raised my daily rate and per-mile fee, because allegedly, they checked my credit and I have bad credit. I do not. After checking with Equifax, the issue is not that I have bad credit, but because I don't buy anything on credit (I don't have any credit cards or loans), I have no credit history in recent years. Now, I am unfortunately being penalized for not having any debt. Therefore, Just Insure is using this as a way to sneakily charge me more money. Never mind that I have been a longtime customer or I have never defaulted on my daily and/or per mile rate. I've never had any accidents under their policy or tickets. In fact, I'm a good driver. Worse yet, their agents are very rude. A man named Ray was very rude on the phone and when I complained to his supervisor Stella, I could tell she wasn't going to do anything about it. Instead, she was condescending herself and mildly raised her voice to say that my credit report said that "one or more accounts were 120 days past due and were charged off." I called Equifax several times yesterday, and they assured me that no such statement was on my credit. It's clear that because they can't charge me hundreds of dollars, they're trying to get rid of me. I feel mistreated and verbally abused by this company's employees. I will take the time to write a letter to their corporate offices.
UPDATE:
I received a call from one of the higher-ups about re-adjusting the new rate and, at least, they are leaving the per mile rate the same. He also indicated that the daily rate will only be raised by .03 cents, so that's more acceptable. I still think customer service should be addressed as well. As customers, we shouldn't have to endure mistreatment or rudeness from employees. We are the ones paying for a service and not the other way around. Oh, and I pay all my bills on time. Like I said, I have no debt or delinquencies. I shouldn't be penalized for not having credit cards. Therefore, the part in the company's response about customers not paying their bills, that DOES NOT apply to me. Thank you!

Hi Aura. I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. We value all our customers, new and old. We also pride ourselves on our customer service. We're sorry you had a bad experience there. You are right. We recently added credit scores as a factor to our pricing. This was because we experienced a significant rise in customers not paying their bills. Customers who don't have a strong credit score have seen their rates rise by a small amount. We're sorry about this, but it was necessary.

Be Prepared to Be Harassed by the Employees
I don't appreciate being intimidated by people, especially when I didn't ask to be contacted. I don't need several people reminding me of the state of my account when I have already been told the time frames the company works with so please unless I reach out to speak to a rep DO NOT CONTACT ME. thanks
Response from Just InsureNov 24, 2023
Hi Ms Martinez. We're sorry you've had a bad experience. We do reach out to our customers who haven't paid their bills. We have seen an increase in the amount of customers not paying. We apologise for the contact, but it is necessary. We don't want our customers' credit scores to be negatively impacted.
