Juno is a free membership that groups students together and negotiates with lenders on their behalf, so members get lower rates on private student loans and refinancing. The idea started at Harvard Business School in 2018, when founders Chris Abkarians and Nikhil Agarwal were staring down their own tuition bills and realized borrowers had no collective leverage. On your own, you take whatever rate a lender offers you. Together, thousands of borrowers are worth competing for. Juno (formerly LeverEdge) runs that process every year: we gather the group, take bids from vetted lender partners, and pass the winning terms back to members. Membership is free, and always has been. Juno is paid by its lender partners, not by borrowers, so there is no fee, no obligation to take a loan, and no cost to compare. Signing up does not affect your credit score. Members come to Juno for private undergraduate and graduate loans, refinancing, parent loans, and loans for international students studying in the US, including deals built for MBA, law, medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy and veterinary students. Alongside the deals, members get free one-to-one consultations with our team, live webinars, loan calculators, scholarship databases, and plain-English guides to federal aid, repayment and everything else that comes with paying for school.
