Misleading Reviews, of workshops not their coaching! Not very transparent as a service!
I have not worked with them but I checked that when I have had a detailed enquiry I can leave a review. Few issues that I see here: -You are randomly assigned a coach, and no reference, logic or reviews are presented for the same. -The brochure is basically an invoice designed well. Does not provide any tangible information. - Below are the questions I asked to which I was outrightly rejected stating that they dont work with competition etc, but I think these were very relevant questions which I had research and everyone should ask really. - I felt they want to service the anxious who will pay up right away without questions instead of the informed - Most of the reviews are from workshops and its unclear if the workshops are meant only to advertise and harness free reviews versus the coaching service offering. - I understand managements fear to disclose this information however their expectations of 'take it or leave it' is quite concerning and skeptical especially in such a subjective field where credibility is easily built on a number of Trustpilot reviews, a white-colored zen website, and peachy boilerplate fix your life content. I feel questions were quite pertinent in making a decision, and management declining to answer for such an expensive service drives my concerns higher. - I recommend everyone asking these questions at a minimum Quoted Conversation by Me to the Team If possible I would like to speak to a member of your team again, just to refresh my memory and discuss the issues which I have self-identified and written down and try to understand how they have handled it in the past and will tackle for me, of course, I understand I'll need a lot of self-inquiry along with mentoring which I seek. I want to have 15-20 mins to: 1. Clarify big picture goals, set career goals, and how I need help. 2. Talk about micro changes that are achievable 3. Understand fit a bit more by discussing an exact list of issues that I want to solve. 4. See reviews directly for the suggested coach possibly? 5. I'd also like to take that connection to the reference now that I am considering starting. Also on the Trustpilot, I saw the majority of the reviews were for workshops, what are these, is there anyone online, what's the format/contents of this? I'd like to know more. I have a few quick questions for you besides the coach: 1. What does your team look for when hiring a coach? 2. How do you decide which coach is a fit? 3. Curious to know if I can talk to more than one coach, how or how not is there a difference? 4. How is working with Jody different? 5. What are the top three issues that people come to your team with? 6. What are the top three issues people my age come to your team with? 7. What is the average age of your client? 8. How has coronavirus etc impacted your work? End of Quoted Conversation EDIT: I don't see how framing me as working for competition relevant to asking how do they function as a business. Asking what is their coaches experience, how are they selected, and method is not trading secret, its a genuine enquiry to understand what I would be paying a 4 digit figure for! . I started working with Pivot Method from New York which was very upfront with the same questions, and again I didn't work for them.

Hello Anih, I am sorry that talking with us about our career coaching program was a frustrating experience for you. As we shared with you in private correspondence, the question of competitive research definitely muddied the waters for us. In our initial 15-minute call with you, we understood you to say that you were doing market research for an undisclosed competitor to JMA. Your subsequent emails seemed to us to further support this intent. Given some of our difficult past experiences with competitors trying to gain access to our intellectual property, we no longer take any chances, even when that means we must turn away people who might have been truly and legitimately interested. We apologize for any disappointment, and we do wish you well.
