Always the same jobs.

Hi Scott, Thank you for the feedback. Here's some advice that may help diversify your search results. Consider entering information such as skills, companies, or job description keywords to find other job listings. You could also explore our careers page (https://jobsearcher.com/careers) to find other job listings. I hope this helps! Good luck with your job search.

Mostly old and stale links. The categories didn't make intuitive sense and I'd rather just get run over by LinkedIn and their monstrous volume than try to pick a job that actually works on J\S

Hi JD, Thanks for the feedback. We show when jobs were last updated, which tells how old they are. As a general rule of thumb, employers with job ads that have been updated within the last week or less are likely still in the early stages of the hiring process. So, those are the best jobs to apply to. I hope this helps!

When searching for a specific position the site listed, it took me to a different position in another state that had nothing to do with the position that I first touched within my location range. The website was all over the place taking me to different positions in other states.

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your feedback. Here's some advice that may help. It seems like when searching for a position, relevance and location are most important for you. So, be sure to use the relevance filter located at the top of your search results. If you want more specific job titles, you can include skills, job descriptions, and companies along with your job title. For location, be sure to input the city and state. Also, keep the search radius small. A large search radius may show you jobs in another state if you live close to state lines. I hope this bit of information helps.

It's showing me great jobs but not 100% what I'm looking for
Response from Job\SearcherOct 19, 2022
Hi Kimberly, Thanks for expressing your concerns. Maybe we can offer a bit of advice. Try adding additional information to your query when typing in your desired position. Add skills, company names, or other things you would like to see in a job description. Then, press search to find jobs that may match your interests better. I hope this helps, and good luck with your job search!

Found job listing but was unable to apply.
Response from Job\SearcherOct 19, 2022
Hi Dave, Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and concerns. I'd love to offer some advice, so our site is more helpful for you. The jobs with no links to apply are expired positions, meaning employers are not hiring for this particular position anymore. We keep these jobs on our site so that job searchers can track company hiring patterns and have more information on open and filled positions at different companies. In your case, you would like to see more jobs to which you can apply. So, when you search for a particular job, filter your search results to show ONLY active job listings. We've created a short YouTube video to show you how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uH6SxRs3ds&feature=share&si=ELPmzJkDCLju2KnD5oyZMQ I hope this helps! Good luck with your job search.

I like that there is no fee and it easy to post, but the format on the computer screen is difficult because I can’t see the top and the bottom of the posting to edit the job title or to submit. I think it is some sort of format glitch.
Response from Job\SearcherOct 19, 2022
Hi Rebecca, Thank you for your feedback. This glitch has been addressed by our team. I hope that you have been able to successfully post your free job on our site.

I am an employer that asked them to remove an expired job post. The information is over 2 years old and not valid. They refuse to remove anything. How can anyone trust a website that refuses to take down expired content? They are misleading people and justify their actions as “helping people”, when truly they just need traffic to their website. All my contact information is posted in the EXPIRED job posting. People STILL reach out to me, which makes them look like ridiculous. The job position does not exist. Even with no link to apply, job seekers can contact employers on expired posts because some listings contain emails and/or phone numbers. Unfortunately, our company blocks any one who reaches out to our company via jobsearcher. They are easily spotted, because that job position does not exist within our company any longer. Also, I never posted the job on this website. They scourge the internet and take job postings from the legitimate companies. The postings are free to view, but it’s not useful information. Unfortunately, they have membership options as well. Don't waste your money or time with this website. Posting expired content and taking peoples money - truly makes this website seem like a scam. Be careful everyone.

Hi AJO, Thank you for voicing your concerns. Luckily, we are a verified business that is entirely FREE to use - for job searchers and employers alike. Additionally, Job\Searcher is a job archive that lists jobs from across the web. We aim to show "every job ever," whether old or new. We do this to benefit candidates' research strategies, especially when job searching and learning about companies. It is important to note that your expired job postings will not have a link to apply. Therefore, job searchers can't apply to your closed positions. I hope this bit of information helps!
