Hi Mudasar, we’re sorry this experience felt frustrating. After reviewing your account with our support team, we confirmed that the policy was active for one day before it was canceled, which is why the carrier applied a portion of the premium and required fees. Our team also shared with you that if you’re able to provide proof of other active coverage on the policy’s start date, we can submit that to the insurer for review and request a possible flat cancellation.
We understand how upsetting billing situations like this can be, and our team did their best to explain the options available. If you’d like, we’re happy to take another look together and walk through the next steps.

Both of my policies they kept making…
Both of my policies they kept making mistakes including not signing the policy which cause it to almost get cancelled. The chat bot is annoying and stupid not giving accurate responses. Second policy mistake cost me $$ . Agents you do get on the phone give conflicting info and need better training. I’m avoiding this outfit.

We’re very sorry you went through this. We’re constantly making updates to improve our chatbot and agent experience, and what you described isn’t typical of how things should work. We understand if we’ve lost your trust, but if you'd give us another chance we'd love to make this right. We’re not able to reach out directly based on this review, so please contact us through the app or call 1-650-753-7799 so that we can look into what happened and help.

Warning: Fraudulent Billing and No Support
I had a very disappointing experience with Jerry AI. Despite being informed through the app that I would not be charged because my policy could not be purchased, my credit card was fraudulently charged $912.63 by a third party called Blue Fire, which Jerry has chosen to partner with. Blue Fire has a reputation for unauthorized charges, and unfortunately, I became another victim. I immediately contacted Jerry customer service to resolve the issue and request a refund. After initial contact, they promised to connect me with a specialist, but I was subsequently ghosted — no follow-up, no status update, and no resolution. This lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. I strongly caution others about this company and its partners. If I don't receive a prompt refund and response, I will be forced to escalate through consumer protection agencies and legal channels. This has been a frustrating and stressful experience overall.

Hi Rebecca,
We’re really sorry for the stress this caused. Handling your insurance through Jerry should always feel easy and straightforward. As soon as we reviewed your case, our team worked directly with the carrier to have the policy fully canceled and the entire charge refunded back to your card. We also offered to cover the small processing fee that isn’t returned by the carrier, and we’re standing by to reimburse that as soon as we receive your preferred payment details.

This is a bait and switch site
This is a bait and switch site. I requested a quote and they wanted to follow up with a call. On the call we reviewed the info I put into the app and the agent sent it for a quote. She gave me the numbers and emailed the confirmed quoted info. In the email, I followed the link provided to see the quote in the app. The numbers were way higher and the coverages did not match my request nor did they match what I relayed to the agent. When I complained in the app chat, I was told "Well, that's how insurance works". What? Like I said, bait and switch. Don't use Jerry.ai it's a big scam.
Response from JerryNov 18, 2025
Hi Sam, we’re sorry your price went up. The initial quote is based on the information entered into the app. When a final price is requested, insurance companies run reports that could result in a price increase. These reports look at many factors including previous violations, claims, address and how long you’ve lived there, driving history, credit, insurance history and more. To discuss a quote and shop with a live agent, please call 650-753-7799 and we will be happy to help!

Confusing Support, Conflicting Answers, and a Business Model Built on Your Data
Jerry likes to brand itself as a one-stop solution for insurance shopping, rewards, car repairs, and safety, but the truth is, it’s a cleverly disguised system built to extract your data and profit off your behavior. I used the app myself which is (now deleted and replaced) and here’s what I experienced:
1. “Quotes from 55+ Insurers”? Not Really.
Jerry advertises that it compares rates from 55+ top insurance companies. But in my personal experience, I was only shown quotes from a handful, like Progressive, Geico, Bristol West, National General, Dairyland and a few others. . Where were the rest? The truth is, Jerry only shows quotes from companies that pay them or offer API integration. If a company won’t play ball financially, you won’t see it. This isn’t a wide marketplace, it’s a filtered list designed to benefit Jerry, not the consumer.
2. Perks & Rewards: All Hype, No Substance
Jerry’s “rewards” system sounds appealing, points for safe driving, redeemable for deals “from brands you love.” But when I looked at the options, they were underwhelming. I received offers like $10 off your first Uber Eats order — something widely available online for free. You’re essentially handing over your driving data in exchange for marketing fluff.
3. False Safety Recalls = Unnecessary Panic
The app sent me five “urgent” recall alerts on my car. Concerned, I called my dealership and checked the official NHTSA database. No recalls whatsoever. I contacted Jerry’s support and was passed around to different agents, each one giving me a different explanation. Eventually, they told me to just ignore the app alert. That’s reckless. These kinds of false alarms waste time and completely destroy trust in the platform.
3. “Better Driving = More Points”? Misleading.
Jerry makes it sound like your good driving leads to real insurance savings, but that’s false. After weeks of tracking, the only “reward” I saw was another Uber Eats discount or 50% off your order from PaperCulture. . None of these “points” impacted my actual insurance premium. It’s just a scheme to justify tracking your driving behavior, time of day, location, speed, and more all of which they get to keep, monetize, and analyze. I felt like the product here wasn’t the app, it was me.
4. DataLock Is a Smokescreen
Jerry promotes their so-called DataLock™ Guarantee, promising to ask for permission before sharing your driving data. But the fine print tells a different story. According to their privacy policy, they can still use your data for analytics, research, and marketing , and share it with “partners” and advertisers. In my case, I never authorized my data to be sold or studied, yet I continued to get targeted offers based on my driving. Their “protection” promise is just a well-worded spin.
5. Support That Isn’t Support
Jerry advertises 7-day support, but I ran into multiple situations where agents repeated the same canned replies, no matter what question I asked. They were copying and pasting from a script. When I tried to follow up on an issue, a different agent gave me an entirely different answer. My experience was chaotic and frustrating, and ultimately, no issue I raised was ever resolved.
6. Eventually, I escalated my issue to Jerry’s executive office. Even they admitted that the confusion I experienced, especially in early May and again on May 17 was due to system delays and agent misinformation. Their exact words:
“That delay unfortunately contributed to the confusion you experienced… when our system and the agent response didn’t align with what you were seeing.”
I was told I only owed $10 to renew, but my account showed a much higher balance. When I followed up, another agent reassured me it would “update automatically” which never happened. Even the payment I made on May 14 wasn’t properly applied.
Ultimately, they issued a $166.49 refund, not as a courtesy, but as a “one-time corrective action” to fix what they admitted was their mistake.
“We’re issuing this refund… since the payment wasn’t made due to errors on our side, not yours.”
That says everything about how flawed and unreliable their process is.
Final thought: Jerry claims it’s “trusted by 5 million drivers” and promises “smarter shopping and driving.” But in my experience, it’s just a glorified data-harvesting machine that offers next to nothing in return. You’re not the customer, you’re the product. Don’t fall for the gimmicks, fake savings, or feel-good rewards. Jerry’s business model depends on harvesting your data, and once they have it, they profit… not you.

Hi Tisha,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that aspects of your interaction with Jerry did not meet your expectations. At Jerry, we aim to support our customers with transparency and care, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.
Regarding your insurance billing experience, after a full internal review, we issued a one-time courtesy refund of $166.49, which covered an entire monthly premium and an associated fee. While this was not required, it was extended as a gesture of goodwill to help resolve the confusion you experienced during your renewal process. At the time the refund was issued, the matter appeared resolved and acknowledged.
The additional refund request submitted later fell outside the scope of the original concern and involved charges that were neither miscommunicated nor disputed during the earlier interactions.
We also want to clarify that Jerry takes customer privacy and data protection seriously. Our quoting tools, recall alerts, and driver programs are optional features intended to enhance the customer experience—not monetize data. Nonetheless, we value your feedback and are sharing it with our product and support teams for further review.
We appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns and wish you the best moving forward.

I was given a quote for a monthly…
I was given a quote for a monthly installment, pay $147 today and $45 monthly thereafter. The app clearly told me what was due, then charged my card for the full year ($500 + $49 Jerry BS fee). Since it's a "third party" app they will not refund you immediately and I'm told I have to wait 21 days for a refund check to be issued in the amount $415 (that's $135 they took for NOTHING). I do not recommend this app or company unless you're prepared for the nightmare that could follow.

We’re sorry for the confusion and frustration. We know waiting for a refund isn’t ideal, and we’re working to improve that process. If there’s anything we can clarify or help with in the meantime, please reach out to [email protected] — our team is here for you.
