J.D. Mellberg FinancialReviews of jdmellberg.com

I contacted JD Melberg for annuity edicational materials and a referral. They sent the material promptly and referred me to financial planner Lance Scott in Baltimore. Thanks to JD Melberg, I have found an excellent financial planner.

Annual review (if it really exists) just doesn't cut it. I don't need an email every 20 minutes but a communication quaterly might reassure me you are still in business as well as the annuity company you sold me.

I am 69 years old & have been investing for 40 years. Over the years I have invested in stocks, mutual funds, bonds, covered & naked stock & currency options and treasury bills. But I had never invested in any type of annuity, fixed or variable, because of the high fees & early withdrawal penalties. After meeting with a local representative, The Horner Group, and fully discussing all the pros and cons of them I changed my mind and purchased two deferred annuities. I owe my delayed interest in annuities to JD Melberg Financial.

My experience with the analyst at JD Melberg was as if I was talking to an old friend. I found that the information was presented in an understandable fashion and felt that I had a clear enough foundation to make this important investment decision. I realize that I would have to wait to receive the rewards but that in the long run, it would provide for my financial security.

Selling a very complicated product, Joshua Manwaring is very knowledgeable and did a great job helping me understand the options. I compared products from other companies and by far J.D.Mellberg offered me the best annuity for my needs.

I am glad that I came across an "Annuity Video" @ the right time when I was planning for an investment that would provide a steady income in retirement; like a pension. I called JD Mellberg team for further information and learned more about annuities...as a matter of fact on hands information that allowed me to review results with "if this or if that". At least before you buy any annuity. it is absolute to review and more importantly discuss with one of the team members @ JD Mellberg.

Local agent/office was both informed & courteous. Most importantly, they helped us purchase to our needs that be sold what they wanted to sell us.

I have looked at many annuities including variable, fixed, and fixed index annuities. I decided to go with this fixed index annuity with Security Benefit because it offered the highest guarantied income later in life and with the spousal continuation, it guaranties that if one of us should die, the income would continue for the other till their death. Who knows where the stock market will go in the next ten years, but with the roll up offered, my investment stays safe. There are some very good looking variable annuities offered, but with the large fees and a down market, your account could go to zero before you took income or if you died before taking income, nothing would be left for your survivors. I like the idea that I don't loose money in a down market, but the trade off is I don't make as much in an up market. I have gone through the down markets in the past 15 years and watched my money in the stock market go down and after 15 years, I am just now breaking even on my original investments. I am tired of worrying about the market and this is why I have made the choice on the fixed annuity.
