The IRS had an obvious error in their evaluation of my alimony payments from tax year 2018, and withheld my overpayments from subsequent years until we finally settled the issue and I received full reimbursement. Carlos Cintron was my attorney, and there’s no way I could have navigated the misunderstandings of the IRS without him. He and his assistants were very patient with me and gave me periodic updates on their communications with the IRS agents. I’d recommend them to anyone that needs to help the IRS understand an error in their assessments.
