I met Jamie in Kentucky about 20 years ago at a jazz boot camp. And for whatever reason I'm one of those kind of people that soon as you meet me it's like we've known each other for years just happens Everywhere I Go and it so happened there at break time Jamie looked up and said hey you want to go eat some lunch so he went and got some fish. In any case what a great treasure to this country and what a great educator I don't know how anyone can give this man anything but a five-star review I'm a classically trained musician as well so he was very good at bridging through example adaptations that were made in jazz from classical music jazz is its own living breathing thing yes but for me it was difficult to understand and once he demonstrated the crossovers it made it much easier to understand anyways what a great person he is Dr. Patrick Hillegas. I was not able to put the date on here for whatever reason either I don't know how to use the date menu or it's just not a very good one somehow could not get out of 2026 they need to get a better format here on trustpilot for the date and setting so sorry for any confusion on that but it was 20 years ago
