I used to go on Ixl as a child and every day I went on it Ixl was like hell its supposed to mean excel but I got worse grades if you want your child to be better at school sign them up for study ladder or bug club

Less than 1 star if I could. I signed up for this because their website said if you're not satisfied with them in 30 days you will get a full refund. 2 days later I cancelled and I had to email them about their policy on refunds and I never got a refund or a response back. $25 and taxes thrown out the door for nothing.

IXL is bad because of its SmartScore. It says, "IXL's SmartScore is a dynamic measure of progress towards mastery, rather than a percentage grade. It tracks your skill level as you tackle progressively more difficult questions. Consistently answer questions correctly to reach excellence (90), or conquer the Challenge Zone to achieve mastery (100)!" IXL also boasts about its excellent reviews, but only 10% of the reviews are good (The other 90% reviews are bad.) Anyways, back to the SmartScore. Many reviewers complain about it. At first, if you answer a question right, it will give you 10 points. But at 90 points, it gives you only 1 to 4 points. When you get a question wrong at 90, it drops from 6 to 8 points. I am a student, and I was getting really stressed with it. Please ban IXL.

This is the worst thing ever, I hope this message gets through to a person who works for IXL because they dont know what they are doing to kids. If parents and teachers are looking for kids to enjoy and be enthuastic about learning then introduce them to DFM or something but stay miles away from IXL

I've used it and its complete trash. First of all, the point system is negative, as if you answer a question correctly, you gain 5 points, but if you do it incorrectly, you loose 10 points. Don't get me started on the "challenge zone". A challenge, should be OPTIONAL. In the challenge zone, you only get 1 point per correct question, and if you get a question incorrect, you loose around 5 points.

IXL is a scam everything about it is a scam 1. It is over priced 2. It does not help you excel contrary to the name 3. It makes you child feel bad about themselves which should not be included in any learning 4. There are no benefits that IXL gives to users. If there was a 0 star then I bet every review would have 0 stars if you see anything higher than a 1 star its definitely someone who works for IXL or a horrible teacher. If anyone who works for IXL sees this then I hope you go to the deepest pit of hell because I have seen many people saying they had suicide thoughts because of this website.
