Doesn't even write correct questions. it asked a -2 + 3 I answered one and it said the answer is 5 it said to reverse it to minus.

Back in my middle school days, our teacher had the genius idea of forcing every student to "achieve" their goals in the learning environment. That idea was beyond horrible and should have been thought twice about. That idea was to force every student onto IXL to suffer being a middle school student. This is my personal experience. Back in 2015, I had an assignment in the writing category. It was about punctuation. At first, one might think it's easy once you easily answer the first few questions. You would be awarded with 10 points, then 9, then 8, etc. Don't let the system fool you. Once you're in the passing range, it has the audacity to stop giving the easy indications (Correct the two mistakes in this sentence) then suddenly throws hard questions in your face (Correct all the mistakes in this sentence) without telling you. Even when you get these questions right, you ONLY GET ONE OR TWO POINTS. Once you reach 90 or above, that's when it really starts being ridiculous. If you get a question wrong in this range, you lose not one, not two, but EIGHT POINTS! And I wish I made this up! I spent OVER SIX HOURS on this ONE assignment, and I still couldn't get to 100. Even after my teacher had the audacity to make me complete it a year later, still no 100 OR a decent learning experience. This isn't how learning should be in our schools. No good student should have to suffer through this thing. I'd rather have my work graded by a rock than this excuse of a learning website. To all the teachers out there who approve of this "learning" tool, and to the creators of this Khan Academy rip-off, shame on you and how dare you call yourselves adults.

This website is only good for people who are ready to stress themselves out to death, Other than that there is no point in this existence in such a website. This website IS SO FREAKING ANNOYING LIKE YO WHAT IS UP WITH THAT SMARTSCORE? YOU LOSE 6-10 POINTS BUT GAIN ONLY 1-3 POINTS???? Honestly This is the worst website on earth and can't ever be fixed I've used this website since 2018 and haven't seen the good in it. NEVER EVER USE THIS WEBSITE IN YOUR LIFE (Unless you have those teachers who assign it to you as homework I can totally see the point in using such a website.)

It sucks. I am at 90+ percent, I get one wrong, then I go down 7+ points. If you get one question right, you only get 2 points near the end. DO NOT USE, IT IS THE WORST!!!!!!!

I HATE IT IT'S AWFUL!!! WHOEVER'S THINKING ABOUT USING IT, DOOOOO NOOOTTTT!!!!! My school is making me do this for homework and it's SOOOOOOO BADD!!!!! It's so stressful seeing the score go down whenever you get a question wrong. For example, when you only got ONE question wrong, your score goes about 7~10 down every time for even ONE QUESTION WRONG!!! And I think it shouldn't be like that because it discourages kids to learn more and worse, makes them hate it. So in my opinion, I think IXL should change their system and make the score not go down for each wrong answer and, better yet, for every question you get wrong, you get some sort of reward instead of stressing you out with this terrible system I get how you get to practice a lot if the score goes down, but it doesn't make kids want to learn anymore so IXL YOU NEED TO STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 AND SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE WHO MADE THE PATHETIC IXL SYSTEM DO YOU HAVE A BRAIN!!!!!!??????? It is awful I have to do it and when you get one wrong at 98 to 99 it bump you down lower and there reasoning don't make sense.

IXL doesn’t teach anything. It is extremely demoralizing.
