When I was in 7th grade at first I didn't hate it at all. After a while of using it got extremely repetitive. My Combined ADHD requires me to have changing and engaging content. During my 8th grade year I did it halfway and still passed, even though I barely used it. Students use different AIs to solve their problem. Instead of learning from it. I truly think this is the worst app I have used. I loved when my school had Get More Math, I don't know why they changed it and I just found out they add ABCya, it is like an insult to injury for those other teens who used AI, to get though it. I passed barley using this app, and the bench mark wasn't graded so I didn't do it. I prefer paper assignments then this application. I put the earliest I could but I used it during Fall 2020, and when I opened the website this day it was the same no change, other then ABCya.

IXL? I thought you said IXHell?

I would like to preface this review by saying that I am appalled at the IXL advertisements that show IXL lessons as a fun experience, because it is nothing more than a torture method. IXL's main lesson structure features the "SmartScore" which gives you less points and deduct more points as the questions get harder. As a student, I find this structure downright infuriating. To reach a maximum of 100 points and fully complete the lesson, you must complete multiple questions that net you only 2 to 3 points. If you get a question wrong, you can lose upwards of 10 points, forcing you to rebuild your score with more 2 point questions. I have heard many other students say that this structure is annoying, frustrating, and even depressing. What is even more surprising is how oblivious educators are towards this problem, as they have left shining reviews for this website that their disciples hate. IXL is a terrible learning website, and I have a sneaking suspicion that IXL is lobbying school systems across the country so they can become more profitable. It's clear they don't care about students, they just care about money.

This website, This website is repetitive, stupid, removes the fun from learning, removes actual write, doesn't actually help people learn, causes anxiety, and the more points you get the easier it is to lose them, you get 95 points, 1 question wrong, back down to 70, please never ever give your school or child this, not ever

Aggressive and annoying advertising.

WHYYYYYYYY! im tired of the repetetive questions, the huge "smart"score deductions, and since im in 7th grade, the INSANELY COMPLICATED QUESTIONS! for me, it takes 20 min to get 50 points!
