IXL is just a terrible experience that crushes confidence and smothers students with near infinite questions and stops a child's wonder and forces them all into numbers, it shows students a "score" that students themselves see and makes a student with a low score feel inferior and teachers don't even like the damn thing but are forced too use it anyway. And the main problem is the fact that 1 WRONG ANSWER can send you tumbling down 10-12-15 POINTS while a corrects answer gives only 1 or 2 points, its a Sisyphean experience

The system is stupid, you could get 20 questions right in a row, be one question away from finishing, and then you misclick and it sets you back 5 questions. It depresses me, makes me want to turn the computer off, and is a colossal waste of time when there are things like Beast Academy, Khan Academy, XtraMath, and others.

This app is driving me crazy! I am a year 6 and this stupid time waster of an app is killing me I rather get like a month of home work than 2 hours of this app damn stupid dumb app I don't know if I am getting deppresion or not but i got some signs of it and plus the learning doesn't even make sense never again!

If your school makes you do this, move schools

huh? I thought I had a "Smartscore" (such an awful name for points directed towards children) of 95. When did it get to 75? Was it when I got one question wrong for putting the different version of the answer or when I didn't capitalize a letter? For those wondering. That's what IXL does FOR you. However, what IXL does TO you is worse. Teachers... oh those teachers. Always assigning KIDS these skills thinking that since it's on a computer and from "our time" it's amazing. WRONG! All this app does is give you mental issues from the LARGE consequences and the unfair questions. I even came across a question that was incorrect. (Checked by a teacher and AI). You heard that, AI. This app is so bad that AI is better than this. I remember crying because of this. Better recommendations: 1. Prodigy- fun educational games and fair questions with a quest 2. Google gemini- I know.. AI... so bad... however it has a study feature which gives you flashcards, educational videos, mind maps, quizzes, and a summary. It may sound bad but it's less like a game and more studying 3. Books- go read. It's fun. 4. Teachers/notes- in class take notes. Reread them. And trust me, by rewriting notes you are taking in more information.

Hate this. I cant stand it and my throat closes up every time I look at it and I have a seizure. Absolutely absurd whoever invented this app. One star.

I'm a 4th grader, and this literally makes me mad, stressed, and anxious. Even though I am very young, it feels horrible when I hear IXL or see IXL. I say, "Nooo." I hate it; I prefer Prodigy. IXL is a very bad platform; the only thing good about it is its games.

I had to use this site from fifth through eighth grade and I DESPISED it. That is part of what got me into my honors English class, sure, but that doesn't mean I enjoyed it. I'm a sophomore now but IXL destroyed any hope of me being truly interested in learning again.
