My contact is friendly and responsive. Unfortunately there has been only one date since I joined last fall. I’m unsure how the firm sources clients but it has been very sparse.

This rating is based upon the fact that I have had minimal experience with IJL thus far and am continuing to understand practices, operations, etc. A fact that I was not aware of is the Matches cannot be filtered by distance based upon client address but only by client's preference pertaining to a geographic region. First date was within past 24 hrs. and overall was satisfactory. A couple of life experiences we had were in common. Looking forward to future opportunities in hopes to get that "Match"

I signed up for the 12 plus 2 matches, so total of 14 "matches" with It's Just Lunch in Houston, TX and was not pleased with the experience. They only have a limited pool of men to match and if they don't have a match they will just throw someone in. I had one date where the guy asked me if I knew a doctor that would prescribe pain medication. He arrived to the restaurant via bus and had already order a full meal by the time I got there and his card also declined for his portion of the meal. Next bad date the guy couldn't wait to leave, out of my age range and nothing of interest with me. The other dates were just mildly better than these two awful ones. Please know they do not vet any of these matches, one guy they said he worked as a software designer, he was customer service at AT&T. Another guy was in medical field and actually was unemployed. The last match was said to be an accountant I believe and he turned out to be a personal trainer. Two actually lived at home with their parents. Nothing wrong with that but had I known ahead of time, I may have saved myself an hour plus dinner. Don't get me wrong, there were a few men that were employed and had a personality but it definitely wasn't the full 12 or more matches.

It was a nice initial meeting but not enough background about candidate. Would like to have a choice of dates going forward. I dated this woman 20 years ago, she is a nice but is consumed with her public persona. If I would know more about her and her story I would probably not gone on this date even though she is lovely but a little over consumed with her persona

I really like the idea of the program but I was told at the beginning when i signed up they had many candidates. Will,, turns out they must not have. I am ok with that if i was told the truth at the beginning that my age group is maybe a little bit more difficult, i could deal with that. My new matchmaker Tricia really has been terrific! She brought back hope to me. I have to say in the past the matchmakers I had didn't seem all that genuinely interested in finding me that date. VERY HAPPY with TRICIA,

My matchmaker Tricia is absolutely wonderful. She would be the reason I would return to It’s just lunch…. She’s caring, informative and makes you feel like you’re her only client

They try to match the best they can…

I am generally pleased with my "matchmaker" and feel that I'm meeting a higher quality of individual than I was through mainstream online dating. I have been on three dates so far though none has been a fit for me. Two of the three were really nice guys and one was a total mismatch.
