The worst dating service! Don’t waste your money. They don’t care about you! Buyer beware! I have been a member since Sept 2020. I have had exactly 3 dates. It is now almost 2 years. They will occasionally send me photos of prospective dates with no additional information. When I ask for more info, they never respond. I have called my match maker many times to discuss these issues and he never returns my call. In addition, they discriminate against women. Men are allowed to define a wide age range for their prospective dates and women are limited to a smaller range. for example, Women can only go five years younger whereas men can go 10 or more years younger.

Don't WASTE your MONEY or TIME with them! I've had so many "matchmakers" on my account that the personnel turnover must be very high! I rarely have had a "matchmaker" for more than a month at a time. They don't listen to what you have for preferences as far as preferred traits. I joined about 15 months ago and placed my account on hold each time they have make 2-3 poor suggestions or they just don't have the amount of potential matches that they claim they have. Of the 18 suggested dates I was only interested in 2 !!! The first one I was very squirrely to agree on a date and time, she kept postponing and then we finally had it set. I showed up but she never showed. I emailed and called IJL and my "matchmaker" never informed me the date had cancelled at the last minute. That "matchmaker" left the company just a couple days later! The second "match" just never materialized. I regret having wasted my time and money with this completely useless company. Your better off with the low cost dating apps... Then you don't have to listen to the "matchmakers" call you on the phone to try to "sell" you how great the match is. Dating and finding your match isn't easy but they make it painful.

I cannot begin to tell you how badly my experience with It's Just Lunch was. They call you incessantly when they want to close you and get your money. Then you pay and hear nothing from them. I worked with Missy and she said she was dealing with some issues and setting up her home location and thus had been initially delayed. Then I heard from her infrequently still. Then she sat me up on my first date. I'm a c-level executive and allegedly he was too. Yeah...no. I could have done better just going into a Waffle House and saying "Anyone want to go get a drink with me?" Following the date, she was supposed to call me to get my 'feedback'. That never happened. I can totally understand a miss on one date, but they say they will call you so they can calibrate. Well none of that happens once they get your money. Therefore save your $3K and start a new hobby or go on a vacation because you won't meet anyone with this service. Also a point of clarification unless you think I had unrealistic expectations. I honestly just wanted to make some new friends and have interesting conversations. If something else happened ... great... if not, so be it. However, IJL did not provide any of the steps they promised and then there was a complete lack of communication. Regardless... I hope you find someone but it won't be through them. You will see a note below that says a member of their team will reach out to rectify the situation. This is untrue. I have heard nothing from them which is par for the course in that they do not deliver what they promise at the service level. Totally understand they aren't a fairy godmother, but they can control how they treat their customers.

I have used IJL 3 times over the years ,in Dallas and Scottsdale. Always has been professional. This recent time i had 6 dates purchased and only accepted 1 , others i had no interest. I had to take a break due to work and on return they said i expired the agreement. I never knew a time was involved to put on pause. They are not willing to work with me. They only want money. Not client savy.

100% SCAM. 100% SCAM They hype and talk up how personalized they are, how amazing their data base is "think of us as your wingman". UNTIL THEY GET YOUR MONEY, then they don't even know your name, never return calls, don't show up for scheduled calls. The third party dispute, was with my credit card company. Unfortunately their (IJL) agreements are written so you don't stand a chance of winning a dispute. DO NOT SIGN THEIR AGREEMENTS, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TRUST.

Save your money. You are screened for 30 minutes by an "advisor" and then promised 2 dates per month. After spending 8k, you never speak to your advisor again. You might get one date every other month. The dates you do get have little, if any, commonalities of interests or qualities you discussed with your "advisor"; however, the matches are generally nice people. The dates arranged for you at interesting and unique venues.

After months or membership, I've been through 4 matchmakers, been presented with 5 matches, none of which came close to my preferences and went on one date with a person who lived hundreds of miles away, wasn't an actual IJL client but just some guy in their data base, and he lied, either to them or me. And IJL lied to him about me. I've had to reach out to them to get them to send me candidates. Not once has a new matchmaker reached out to get to know me and what I want. I've spent $thousands for nothing. They do no background checks, so after my one sketchy date, I can't trust them. My response: if by Seattle Area Manager you mean Marsha, she has never introduced herself as anything other than a matchmaker. She's done nothing to earn my trust any more than the last two matchmakers did. Your turnover is only surpassed by your incompetence, and I have spoken to no one who makes me feel that I've been heard. On the contrary. I stand by my review; I do not feel safe or secure with who you are, what you do and who you set me up with.

I signed up for the 6 date package through It's Just Lunch and wanted to warn others this was a massive waste of money and their services are basically a scam. During the in-take process I was told they would only take me on if they had people in their network that met my criteria (and vice versa). They have a very good sales pitch. They also proclaim that they get to know you and are able to better tailor your matches as you go. These were all lies. It was very clear early on that as soon as they get your money, they have no concept of customer service, and don't care in the slightest what you are after, you are only a cog in their wheel and you are forced to go on dates with people who don't meet your criteria. They claim to thoroughly vet people. My first date was with someone who jumped right into politics and didn't believe in Covid. My second date was with someone who lived 3 hours away. I discovered after signing up that they are not up front about their geographic territories. You also get no say on this. I live in Oakland, CA and work in Napa and asked that they focus on East Bay, San Francisco and North Bay. This is a huge, densely populated area, definitely not the middle of nowhere. 5 of my 6 dates were hour + drives away in the South Bay Area. My 4th date was clearly on drugs and out of his mind on the date. There was no apology or refund for this, just giggles from my coordinator. Another thing to mention is that you get no access to your "match-maker" after a quick 10 minute call post your first date. This person who is allegedly getting to know you doesn't respond to emails and there is no way to contact her. You only have access to your coordinator person. It is this person's job to tell you about your "match" and basically convince you that you don't deserve what you're looking for and you'd better damn well take what's given to you and be grateful for the chance to meet these people. If I had agreed to go on dates with the first 6 people who messaged me on Match.com, I am confident these people would have been just as well suited for me (or better). I finally had my last date and it was the worst match ever. Not one single quality I am looking for in any regard. I understand that a dating service cannot promise true love or romance or sparks or chemistry. However, It's Just Lunch most definitely lied to me about having people that fit my criteria (and I didn't have overly selective criteria - 10 year age range, similar parental status, professional ambition and lifestyle. I didn't ask for parameters around height or ethnicity etc). It's a lot of money for the absolute worst dates of my life. Only value is horror stories to tell friends. Of course I will be telling anyone who asks that this company is a scam.
