Please don’t waste your time and money. Unprofessional and rude, very disappointing...

If zero was available. That's the rating I would give. They have a great sales pitch but unable to deliver. They promise you 5 dates for $2,000.00 that's right 2k. I had 1 date, which was the worse.btw..it took 6 months to get the 1 date. Not enough people in their data base in central NJ. After several emails and no commitment for future dates or acceptable time line I gave up. Sadly they take advantage of people who are full of hope. Makes you wonder how they sleep at night. This is a true Experience. Besides I see others with the same experience. Must all depend on your location and database availability along with expertise of the assigned matchmaker.

This is an utter waste of money. I signed up in 2021 and have only had 3 dates as of 2023. Also, one date never showed, and I was told it was due to a matchmaker error. That was a waste of time and money. I have never once talked to the same matchmaker. The turnover is awful. The 3 dates I had were absolutely a miss with what I had profiled. Don't waste your money.

My membership was put on hold without asking them to do so. In the last month I have contacted my matchmaker 3 times by email and IJL office twice by phone to discuss this. I have not received an answer by email or from the office line for existing customers. When I called the new client line, I got someone on the phone right away. Very bad service.

If I could give negative stars I would. The sales pitch was great, that spending $1000 (yes one thousand) was worth it. I got 1 date, that was horrible. He was late and nothing I asked for. I spent a lot of time talking to the rep about what I was looking for. For example, I hate beards, bald, and tattoos so what kind of guys do they match me with? Yup guys 20 years out of my range who have long gross beards,bald and have tattoos. I know there is more than just looks, this is the best example. When I emailed the rep that the guys she was sending me must have been for someone else because they don't match what we talked about, I got nothing back. I soon had other reps sending me even worse matches if that is even possible. I was told $1000 for 3 dates. I got 1 date and no one can even email me back. Waste of time and money. IJL says I got my dates. I can tell you that's not true, i only got 1 days. They company guarantees 3 dates but i only got 1. Do they give you matches that don't match what your looking for so you say no and they do no work for free money? i emailed/ called to update what I'm looking for, since i was getting the wrong kind of guys i figured my preferences were not saved. No one ever responded, i would just get another horrible "match". so, why has no one ever emailed back? Also I was told in the beginning that if a match is not found I could extend the contract for half the cost. What ever happened to that?

My initial experience with IJL was good. The matchmaker representative was nice and completed my interview in a timely and professional manner. Then I was set up on a first blind date. I was not allowed to see a picture of my date, only given a few details about him and a brief physical description. I spent a few hours getting ready for the date and driving to the restaurant. I arrived and was taken to our date table where I waited for 30 minutes in a busy restaurant. My date did not show up nor did he call the restaurant to leave a message since we are not given each other's contact info. I emailed the matchmaker representative about how frustrating it was to have my time wasted and also how it made me feel scared that I had not seen a photo of the guy and that I wondered if he was potentially a fraud and trying to track/find me by setting up a date. The representative that was so eager to get me set up on the date did not even bother to respond to my email. Now I'm not sure which is worse, the date not showing up or the representative not even responding to my email to at the very least apologize for the date, tell me what happened, or pay me for wasting my time, energy, and money.

I do NOT recommend IJL. They give you almost no information about the person you will meet except a single photo. The first date they set me up with didn't have a college degree and was unemployed (two things I had explicitly asked for) and the second date just didn't show up after I'd driven 90 minutes to the restaurant. I explained to IJL that my work is politics and I can't be matched with someone who doesn't share my values, and they said they couldn't help me with that. The restaurant didn't have a record of a reservation either time. For the first date, we both drove many miles out of our way, which was entirely unnecessary. I am a busy professional, and the reason I paid for this service was that i thought they could save me time, but instead they have wasted a lot of my time and energy and no one has apologized. I could do much better for myself on a dating app. I want my money back and no one returns my calls or emails. The company’s response to me below is false. I have left phone messages and emails and no one has contacted me. This is an unprofessional company. STAY AWAY.

I have not been introduced to one person of substances. I am looking for someone of my same caliber. Someone who’s interested in being in a long term relationship, not looking for just a sensual encounter. I’m very disappointed with the money I’ve spent and the results I’ve seen.
