It was represented to me that they had men in my area. I accepted all the dates they sent and refused none. I was promised 12 dates - one each month. Here I am 2 years later and have had five dates and at least three no shows. IJL insists on making this my fault when I inquired. I accepted all dates … refused none. IJL did not at all fulfill their representations to me and their end of the contract.

Stay Away! IJL advertises in the United Kingdom, but all matchmakers are US based - which was not communicated when signing up. IJL took the membership fee in USD over 2 payments, again not transparent. They overcharged my card because of the USD to GBP conversation plus I was charged bank fees due to the foreign transactions. I raised this with IJL immediately.... it has been 15 months since raising with IJL and I still haven't received the reimbursed.

Best sales lady ever sold me the $3000+ package. She seemed totally professional and legit. Then she handed me over to their matchmakers, and they proceeded to send me matches literally 10 years older on the average than I had been promised, over and over and over. This has gone on for five months. I keep reminding them what I want and what we agreed to (and what the sales person said they could totally deliver) and they keep ignoring me and just continue to send me ones that are way too old for me. Terrible service, so unprofessional, so inconsiderate, so deceptive, such a waste of time and money. I've only had two dates scheduled, and one of those two no showed. Don't hire these people!!

Not only have I had many of my reviews removed because ‘it’s just lunch’ has a way through trust pilot to request information and delegitimize negative reviews Resulting in having them removed, even if they’re speaking the truth like mine do. It’s just lunch, owes me a refund, and there’s no other way to look at it. I have received nothing in the way of feedback, and my experience has been far less than expected. Today was supposed to be my first encounter, and they couldn’t find a way to help me here either. I live in a remote area and it’s a lot to ask out of somebody to come to this island for a date, even if they are here on vacation as in this case, the restaurant was too far away from where they were staying, And the girl cannot call me to try to make another arrangement because it’s against the rules to share numbers and I totally understand her reluctance, so there for she canceled, the bad part was, it was two hours before I was supposed to meet this person and sit down for lunch. I feel a bit of embarrassment, because I told more than one of my friends and family that this would be taking place,!?!?, My experiences with IJL have been far below what should be expected from any business, especially one that plays with the heart strings. I really feel that if the perspective date and I were able to communicate, this would’ve gone a lot differently, but for some reason, IJL likes to be so secretive with numbers and such, it leads to an unworkable situation as you can see by my results. I have asked my matchmaker to go to management and request a refund for me, but I have done that since the beginning of them removing zoom dating, which was the only reason I signed up as I stated, I live in a very remote area from there hubs. I don’t see how the management at its just lunch does not see that this situation deserves a 100% refund and an apology for the time that I have spent trying to deal with them. I cannot understand how this company doesn’t have the compassion and understanding to look at this situation from a members standpoint, and their communication with me has been minimal. I would not recommend its just lunch to friends, or family, or for that matter, even somebody I didn’t like. Nobody should have to be made to feel like this. It’s just lunch should be ashamed of their ways. Please refund me my entire enrollment fee. Thanks-Kevin Edited May 28, 23 Their reply is open ended and does not tell me anything. This company cannot Be trusted, I would not recommend them to friends, nor family. All this is based on the customer service or lack there of that I have received during this encounter with this company. When you’re talking a four digit figure for membership, there should be no questions asked if somebody isn’t satisfied. They should admit their mistakes and refund when necessary. 6-23-23 Still nothing but roadblocks and confusion with this membership, as I stated before, without zoom dating, it doesn’t leave many options for a guy who lives on an island in the middle of the ocean, and they never should’ve sold me the product. Still waiting for a refund or to hear that they will even consider one or basically anything other than asking me to fly to another location to make their system work. They never should’ve sold me the product and they definitely need to offer a refund. They really don’t show compassion nor understanding after you have paid in full and they have nothing left to leverage for. It’s despicable and don’t fall into the same trap, In fact, I hope you consider the horrible experience I’ve had, and just decide to do business elsewhere. I would not recommend them to my friends, nor Family.

Save your money. The person in sales painted a very nice picture was very responsive spent a lot of time with me but once they had my money it became a different story. I was explaining there'll be 24 matches. Later I found out it's match opportunities, so if I don't accept the match that they give me I just lost that match. The first guy was really not what I was looking for just in photo and description. The second guy was better the date was set up and he no-showed. No response from anybody at the company two days later I finally found out he had a flight change. That matchmaker was not very good at communicating in fact I didn't hear from her for 2 weeks after I was stood up. I got a new matchmaker who was better, the first date they gave me was okay but I went on it because I knew I would lose that match if I didn't and I had to trust the process. However that date also failed to show, said he was stuck in traffic. I asked for a refund and was told someone to get back in 48 hours, however it's been exactly one week and I finally spoke with someone who said a refund's not possible because they can still give me opportunities. They are escalating me to someone who might be able to help me but said they don't do refunds. Did I mention the service cost $5,000? So I'm currently disputing it with my credit card company. More pathetic than online dating ever was

BBB rating F!!! See for yourself. Accessed 6/10/23 It's just lunch, Miramar Fla. I signed up for 1 date/mos for 1 year in 2020. It is now 5/23 and I have been on 9 dates. I asked for someone who has been married, within 1 hour commute, went to college, taller than 5"8" and has kids. Past 3 dates have been shorter than me, no college, never married, live over 2 hours away, and no kids. Why did they even ask for preferences? I have had maybe 10 different dating "consultants". Seems like a revolving door of staff. 6/10/23 They have reached out and refuse to give me a refund. Colossol waste of time and money!!

This entire experience has been a nightmare!! I have only had 3 dates in a 7 month timeframe and each one worse than the last. At the start of my last date, the gentleman I met shared with me that he is not a paying member and that they outreach him when low on men. He laughed about how they are frequently low on men. The pictures of people are so old and outdated. If I saw these people on a dating app I would 100% keep scrolling. I’ve also had two matchmakers in the 7 months and one manager, who I was just told also changed jobs and now I need to deal with a new manager. None of which have helped in any way. I am praying even one person who is considering this as an investment sees this and DON’T DO IT! It’s a SCAM! The woman who sells this scam will promise you the world but it’s all LIES! She even had the audacity to contact me three months into this asking if I wanted to up my membership for $10k!!! She is evil! There are far better options out there. I’m leaving this review here and will also add to google in the hopes to prevent others from falling prey to this despicable company! Update: The management team has done nothing to resolve this issue. They continue to move me from one matchmaker to another and the management team is constantly changing. Meanwhile there are zero dates! It’s been almost 8 months and have had three dates in total and two of them were horrible! More lies!!! Go look at all the bad reviews on Google about this company!

Need to screen the person and updated their photos. The person who I meet didn’t look like the photo I got. I didn’t even recognize the person I was supposed to meet. This is my first date and it was the worst. I pay for the service but I really regret it now. I might as well use the online site and be surprised by it
