STAY AWAY !!!! I am not even believe how awful this company is. They do nothing but lie and steal your money. There do absolutely nothing they promise. Management is elusive and hides from the customers behind layers of useless managers. The “match makers” send you literally anyone to fulfill their contractual obligation. The best part is they have had so many legal issues for deceptive business practices and still so it. Shame on me for not researching them sooner.

This company is a SCAM. Please STAY AWAY. Tired of mobile apps, I've decided to give it chance to a matchmaking service. LeeAnn introduce herself as a senior matchmaker who oversees others working with the clients. She was a true sale person: flattering and giggling; she went on telling me how they are true believers in love for past 30 years, and they are different, and they have a team of trained matchmakers that work together to find the right match. Moreover, LeeAnn continued, they only charge $1000 for 3 matches in 3 months that is "so affordable". But there is a process: you need to submit pictures, driver's license, payment and meet with the designated matchmaker for an 1 hr session so she can get to know you and complete the profile before they start their work on search for THE match. HERE's WHAT REALLY HAPPENED: After initial call with LeeAnn on a Friday, I had first zoom with my matchmaker set up on a Wednesday. Genie stated this meeting is 15 min, said my profile was already made, asked no questions, AND she already has a match for me. I was confused, match already, without meeting with me?! She sends it at the end. I was stunned when I opened it. He was not even in the right ethnical, cultural group to stay the least. I immediately communicated to LeeAnn and Genie that it is NOT what I was promised in regards to the process and that preparing a match without meeting with matchmaker is inappropriate and that this match is completely off (something legitimate matchmaker would know if they conducted an interview with their client). Then Genie called me, apologized and said she has a match that was hand picked by LeeAnn. Again zero questions about me. When I opened the email with the match, I was shocked by how bluntly unattractive and off he was. I realized that I was SCAMMED and I don't want YOU to experience this. 1 week turned into frustration and stress because I was taken advantage of. PLEASE READ THEIR REVIEWS and STAY AWAY!

I had a terribly disappointing experience. None of my matches were appropriate, and none matched my stated preferences. It's a very expensive service (average $875 per date), and unlike professional matchmaking services, they only match with their existing clients. They can throw whomever they want together and consider their contractual obligation completed. I should have trusted my gut and not joined, but the salesperson was very persuasive.

Wonderful, inspiring sales pitch with nothing behind it. When asked directly about the size of their database in my area they skirted the issue and assured me they would “find” qualified men. First two presented to me were so far off the mark it was embarrassing. I said no. Next was a guy who lived 1.5 hours from me and must have been on their payroll because when we met he told me he had been on 24 dates. Three months in and I have been on one date. I’m an educated, professional woman, fit and attractive. It’s Just Lunch bills themselves as an exclusive dating service for discerning, busy professionals. I am their demographic, and they are not delivering. Other issues: My “matchmaker” lives 4 states away and is unaware of the geography and demographics of my area. My sales person told me she would be with me every step of the way but will not respond to my concerns. Nobody told me that when I say “no” to a potential “date” that counts toward my quota. What incentive do they have to find appropriate matches? When presented with the match you get a picture or two and a verbal presentation about that person. I try to ask questions like what city do they live in? What are their politics? and I told they can’t tell me that. I’ve cancelled my membership. It will be money well-spent if I save a person or two from wasting their money.

Where do I start? The whole thing is a scam. They’re really nice, responsive and curious before you pay. As soon as you do, you go to the back of the line. Let me go into some details. I am 6,2 very fit,I don’t like to toot my own horn, but for the sake of the argument, You can call me good looking,lol.i work hard and I don’t have time to go out anymore, I do not like the idea of having an online profile. So I gave this guys a shot. And what a mistake .they basically make you feel crappy about yourself and undatable , between bad dates, not responding to your emails. Your calls ,canceling dates last minutes . hook, line and sinker It’s a real understatement .I’m not even that demanding or asking for for a 10 or a trophy blonde , I was very realistic and compromising. All asked for ,is a decent human being and physically compatible . And what do you know ,every match was a complete disaster., I don’t want to be insensitive ,please use your imagination… they basically match you with anyone just to make their quota, I and up denying a lot of them which by the way counts against you .(you get 12 dates every time you deny a match for any reason it counts against you. You need to understand this before you sign up). That’s the scam they don’t tell you please don’t do the same mistake. stay away.contacted my credit company for a dispute ,IJL Doesn’t do refunds . You have to fight go through your credit company and request a dispute. They can’t do this to people.. thank you good luck.

I have been unhappy with the quality of matches presented and have requested a refund. I have sent 3 separate emails asking to speak to the customer service department and have never received a response.

Not worth the money. My first match canceled the first 3 times. IJL promised my membership would be extended 3 weeks to compensate, it wasn't, a lie. All the matches were 30 to 45 minutes away. As a single mom that is hard to get sitters for that long. On one date I mentioned how long it took and he said it was only 10 minutes away for him. I was told it was a midway point, another lie. I was excited to do this on my lunch, nope, they couldn't do lunches, another lie. The restaurants were ok, some were very loud and I had to ask for split bills, they didn't do that automatically. I only had 3 dates over the 3 months and nothing in common with these men. Very disappointed in this experience. Save your money.

I must join the multitudes of poor reviews for IJL. During the 14 months I have been with the service I have had 5 matchmakers who have all been negligent at supplying even the minimum amount of customer support including returning phone calls and emails, and I have been on a total of 2 dates. I am currently still with IJL for one reason only: my latest matchmaker Jaiye who has thus far been the exact opposite of the other 5 matchmakers - and managers - I have dealt with. I would be EXTREMELY hesitant to purchase this service but should you decide to take a risk, INSIST that Jaiye is the only matchmaker you would accept.
