This company is incapable of meeting their core offering of finding matches for you in a timely cadence as per a package that you purchase. They sell you a story and then employ unprofessional people who don’t provide you reasonable service until you get frustrated and give up, but refuse to refund you should you ask for it. Complete waste of money and not worth your time or effort either. Biggest mistake I ever made spending money on them.

Has anyone outside of me looked how they hire people on indeed.com and seen the reviews that there employees say about the company this is just one of them You will feel like a dating telemarketer. Calling 75-80 people a day, four days in a row. You have to call them regardless of how many times they’ve previously asked to be removed from the call list, yelled at you, hung up in your face. It won’t matter if they tell you that they are in a relationship, you are still required to call. It feels morally wrong and it’s a waste of company time. There are many people who have been getting calls every quarter for over 10yrs. You will get paid a laughable base and not feel like you’re part of a team. My mentor was very snarky and combative and management just gaslighted me when it was mentioned. You will not have the freedom advertised. There are meetings every morning at 9 Monday-Friday. Monday-Saturday expect to be on the phone from 10-6pm and possibly later. I happily quit and spent my day at the spa. Best thing I’ve done all year.

I am writing another review hoping the IJL team reaches out as i continue to be ignored. I had a call planned today at 3:30pm with Kaya to go over my preferences and discuss things to improve my matches/ success, and I have yet to hear from her over an hour later. This is unacceptable! After discussing how disappointed I was in the matchmaking process and services I have received (or lack there of) with IJL, I am unfortunately continuing to have the same experience. I am paying for a service as a customer. I am not pleased. Update- i received a call at 5:30pm- 2 HOURS AFTER THE ORIGINAL CALL. NOT ACCEPTABLE

I'm giving It's Just Lunch a one-star rating because there are no options for lower than one star. For six months, they tried to set up 5+ dates with me, among which two had medical conditions: one with epilepsy and one with arm/leg movement issues. I am in no way against people with medical conditions. However, imagine this: a guy with multiple chins and medical conditions is being presented to you, while you are 5'5" and weigh 110 pounds. I think they try to purposely fulfill the number of dates they promised you so they can get away from their contract. If you haven't signed up with It's Just Lunch yet, PLEASE DON'T. TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN.

As someone who values efficiency and personalized service, I had high hopes when I signed up for "It's Just Lunch" matchmaking service. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. From the outset, communication has been a significant issue. Despite reaching out via email and phone calls, the matches assigned to me have been unresponsive. It's disheartening to invest time and effort into a service only to be met with silence from potential matches. Furthermore, the quality of the matches provided has not met my expectations. Despite specifying my preferences and needs, I found that most of the matches were not compatible with what I was looking for. Even after broadening my search radius, the lack of suitable matches persisted. What's more frustrating is the lack of support and engagement from the matchmaker assigned to me. While I was bombarded with calls urging me to sign up, the level of communication plummeted once I became a paying customer. The promised personalized attention was nowhere to be found, and I felt neglected throughout the process. In one particularly embarrassing incident, a match agreed to meet but ghosted me. According to "It's Just Lunch," if a date is canceled, the restaurant is supposed to notify the matches. However, this didn't happen, and I was left waiting at the venue, unaware that the date had been canceled. While I understand that personal issues may arise, I should have been notified about the cancellation. After reaching out to the matchmaker, I learned that the date was canceled due to personal issues, which I understand, but the lack of communication was disappointing. In hindsight, I regret not researching "It's Just Lunch" more thoroughly before committing to their services. Had I read reviews like this one, I might have avoided this disappointing experience altogether. Overall, I cannot in good conscience recommend "It's Just Lunch" based on my experience. It's a shame that I have to give such a negative review, but honesty demands it.

100000% scam. They did not fulfill the scope of 4 dates. They gave me 2 dates that did not meet even top 3 of my criteria. Lisa Sisemore in SF is unprofessional, manipulative, fake and engages in harassing clients post reviews. I just received a call from her 3 days ago when my experience was years ago. She tried to contact me every year only after I posted reviews. She gladly took $2600 to introduce me two poor quality men on a video chat. One could not even carry a conversation. Please run away. If you use them, use a credit card that refunds you for services not rendered.

Please please please don’t spend your money on them. Total scam. I have been begging for resolution to my complaints and concerns for 2 years now. I only got 1 date out of the few thousand $$$$ I spent. The other couple matched after that were not matches in any sense and I refused a date with them. Keep in mind that even if you refuse to go on a date that is considered a match whic that difference was not explained to me well prior to payment. I am convinced that they just match you with any person so that they can wipe out your number of matches and be done with your account quickly. I had horrible experiences with Mike E., the client experience manager and now he is somehow Director of Matchmaking. I asked numerous times for him to escalate the situation so that I could speak to someone other than him as he had made my customer experience extremely negative. He failed to do that, he failed to respond and when following up again few months later each time, he acted clueless. I told them to stop sending matches until I had my complaints and concerns resolved and addressed by someone above Mike. They said the only way that they would do that if I put my account on hold. They told me someone would reach out, They did but it was the same old story and then they never followed up after I asked for a refund and further escalation. I follow up again, left a voicemail with the person and we are now six months later and still no return call. I decided to follow back up this week with every person that I had interacted with, Provided an extreme amount of proof even call logs to prove that I have not received a response back and as of this morning they are refusing to do anything because now my account expired. I can’t believe these people even have the conscious or lack of to continue to work for a company like this that scams people for 1000s. As you can see here, their standard response to any negative comment is oh I can’t find you in our system as a client. If they say that here to my review I can provide anyone who would like it all of the proof of my interactions with them, failed responses, failed resolution, the matches, etc. Save yourself the wasted time, money, anxiety, Etc.

The old bait and switch….salesperson went on and on about all the great men she knew would be perfect for me, and if they didn’t work out, they had so many “old” members they could contact that gives them even more options. Then you’re handed over to the actual matchmaker. 2 of my first 3 matches didn’t even meet my parameters as per the contract. So they don’t really count towards my 6 matches - ha. If they actually had good matches, why are they resorting to people that I’m not even interested in? At least with Match etc, you get to see the options and make decisions on information that is helpful. They give you the bare facts and 1 photo (2 if you’re lucky) of the match, and that’s all you have to go off of. I guess you’re supposed to trust the process. Not me. I’m sorry you can’t seem to validate me - how convenient. Reach out to Jessica-Da in TX sales and JenniferM, the matchmaker, in FLA. I sent them a lengthy email with my concerns and request for refund. Never heard back from either.
