Incredibly rude "mandatory fee" handler
Its not so much the 10 Euros per passenger "development charge" which, according to Trustpilot reviewers, has been taken for over 13 years, at least - it's the extremely rude, uniformed-authority-types they've planted at the charging kiosk who, when asked what the fee is for (no information prior to security, anywhere in the airport, on your booking information or on their website, bellowed "No pay, no go" .... First of all, that's a threat, not a request for funding... However, I merely enquired what the fee was for, in order to pass through to security. I travel to and from Ireland 3 times a year. This is my first and last use of Knock Airport. They should use the mandatory investment money for some basic customer service training from the superior Shannon, Cork or Dublin. The leaflet that was then thrust into my hand when told "go have a read about your investment" stated that Knock Airport have 'taken', spent and are continuing to 'take' for the "upgrade of the electrical infrastructure" It should look like the Vegas Strip by now.
