Thank you for writing this. A year and a half without an offer is exhausting, and I'm sorry you're still in it. That's not the outcome either of us signed up for. I want to be clear about what the program covers, because stories are one piece of it. The core of the program covers the whole search: choosing which roles to target, your resume and LinkedIn, networking and referrals, practice for every interview round (behavioral, product sense, strategy, execution and case studies), and negotiation when the offer comes. We work with product managers at all levels. On top of that, the work keeps moving with the market. In the last few weeks alone: - We ran two sessions mapping the different lanes of AI product management, so clients can see which lane fits their background and what hiring managers in it look for. - We started a weekly AI Side Project Working Group. The approach starts with the gap a hiring manager would see on your profile for your target lane, then builds a side project that closes it. Clients are forming small teams to build together, each in a role, and we're building tools that record your decisions as you go so the project becomes portfolio material and interview stories. - We restarted Mindset Mondays every other week, because handling rejection over a long search matters as much as any answer. - Clients now have AI practice tools available any time, including a mindset coach for working through setbacks and a product design practice tool. I'm sorry this was your experience, and thank you for being direct about it. On referrals: we respond to every referral request within one business day, unless the team happens to be on vacation. What we can't control is how quickly the person giving the referral responds. Some reply the same day and some take longer. If your request sat with us longer than a business day, I want to know. On the team: 18 coaches work with clients today. Feedback in a mock interview or case review should be specific to your answers. If yours felt generic, that's a miss, and I'd like to see it. Your story runs through all of it, and it matters more than most people expect. Many of the reviews on this page name the work on their story as a major reason they landed the role. In just the past few weeks we ran sessions on the different lanes of AI product management, started a weekly AI Side Project Working Group where clients build projects that close the gaps hiring managers would see in their profile, restarted Mindset Mondays, and gave clients AI practice tools they can use any time. Thank you very much for the review, Jonathan! Yes, I declined to work with you - this is all true! What is perhaps missing from this entire article is that our initial contact was 8 months ago :) And we spent so many days going back and forth. It was not like you had a day! And yes I totally forgot that the decision deadline was SuperBowl sunday - I was oblivious to it. I accept that fault. But its okay, to each his own. I am sorry it did not work out to you wish you nothing but the best in your career.
