Before joining the program, I had ten years of program management experience at Fortune 500 companies. I wanted to transition to product management, so I joined Intentional Job Search. The program had everything I needed; story writing for behavioral stories, product sense, product strategy coaching, and mindset coaching. I got feedback on mock interviews and it helped me close the gaps I had before the interviews. When I went into the interview, I felt prepared and was 100% confident. In the end, I got the offer to work on a product in Amazon catalog team, to define and enforce policies for contribution from sellers in the amazon product detail page. I'd recommend this program to someone looking for product management opportunity to accelerate their job search and career, especially if you're transitioning from a different role into a product management role.

I can tell from my experience that I was struggling to transition from consulting to product manager. It was challenging owning the product rather than helping the client. It was a mindset change and not just a resume change. I was also trying to change industries which is particularly hard if you don't have the prior experience. I also wasn't telling the stories that would connect and reflect the best of my experience to the prospective employer. This program help me with three things: 1. change my mindset from taking the easy path of linkedin easy apply to being intentional where I apply and why I'm applying. It gave me the confidence to be very selective about the shots I'm taking. It has helped me change my mindset to being empowered and being selective. 2. It is also being an immense help personally where I am more selective of activities I do and that frees up my time for vital activities rather than doing busy work. 3. It has taught me important things about trade-offs and how everything should be viewed with that lens. I joined Intentional Job Search after I had been interviewing for a while. I was frustrated at being close to landing a role, but I felt something was missing that led me to not land my ideal jobs despite being in multiple final rounds. Smart investment for your PM interviews and beyond. I am a mid-career Product Management professional with an MBA, and a previous Faang experience, so the interview process is not new for me. I used to do it all by myself and I now realize it’s not necessary and not even sensible. The Intentional Job search program made a big difference in terms of landing multiple roles, including Faang at the right level and within a short 8-10 weeks. I’d credit the well-structured approach, a supportive community and the rigor from the coaches as complementary to my own efforts. Intentional Job Search helped me land my first Product Management role. Before joining, I wore many different hats in the nonprofit sector where I did work in advocacy, research, program & project management, and sometimes wearing a PM hat. I had tried breaking into product before the program, but I would never make it past the final rounds of interviews and had trouble communicating a cohesive narrative and story. I had considered PM bootcamps but had heard mixed reviews, and thought there was a substantial risk involved. I also knew there would be a job search after a bootcamp anyways - so why delay the inevitable? Intentional Product Manager is a well-organized community for new and experienced product managers to grow and connect. I got connected to my current opportunity through this community. I developed the confidence and knowledge to get through interviews and perform my job in this community. I'll always recommend IPM to PMs who want to grow and aspiring PMs.

I signed up for the program reading the reviews on this very page, and I can advocate for every good word mentioned here. The program is definitely worth MORE than every $ I spent. The mock interview feedback helped me fine tune my preparation and spend my energy in the right direction (for me). There is so much information on the internet for Product Management interviews that it is easy to get lost in the noise.The IJS program helped me challenge my potential and then also helped me reach it. I feel like I could have easily spent another 5-8 years to get to the point where I have now landed, after only 4 months into my job search with IJS.
