Disappointing Experience with Workmanship and Project Management
I hired In N Out Remodeling after reading their positive online reviews, trusting I could expect the level of professionalism and workmanship those reviews described. Unfortunately, my firsthand experience was dramatically different. Our residential remodel was plagued by significant workmanship issues, unfinished work, and serious project-management problems, ultimately leading us to terminate our contract. The project closeout was equally frustrating. Rather than having a straightforward process for addressing unfinished items and closing out the project, we dealt with ongoing administrative issues and disputed balances. We filed a complaint with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and issued formal written dispute notices. We ultimately had to bring in a replacement contractor to complete the work. I am sharing this review because the positive reviews were a significant factor in my decision to hire this company, and my experience was markedly different from what those reviews suggested. Based on my experience with their workmanship, project management, and dispute resolution, I would not hire In N Out Remodeling again and strongly encourage prospective customers to conduct thorough due diligence before signing a contract.
