Please, please, please skip InGenius prep.
We signed on with InGenius in August and it seems their counselor couldn’t miss an opportunity to let us know we came late to the game. This fact did not reduce the price we paid for the service. This counselor hasn’t checked in for several months and our record is zero acceptances to the schools they helped us apply to. Please search for another college prep company- the college application process is too important to risk hiring someone with that kind of track record.

Waste of money, bad PhD application advice
Ingenius Prep charged $7,600 for help with 10 PhD programs. They gave very bad advice, encouraging the use of a postdoc as one of the three references. Although they reviewed all essays and said the applications looked "very good," all applications resulted in rejections. Ingenius Prep is a huge waste of money and gives very bad PhD application advice.

As you know, PhD programs are extremely difficult to gain admission into, with only about 23% of doctoral applicants receiving admission at all. We hired InGenius to get help with my…
We hired InGenius to get help with my son's college apps. It was TOTAL disaster. With near perfect SAT and GPA around 4.5 and well rounded personality, he was rejected from all InGenuis helped apps. Lost 6k and chance to good college because their advise on apps was totally wrong. DO NOT HIRE THEM AT ALL.

As you may know, this last year was the most competitive on record with many schools experiencing a 40% increase in applications, which ultimately made for a challenging year for most students.
