1st Update, About 3 hrs after posting my review I recieved a phone call from Susan from Infinity,(I Hadn't contacted them yet she saw my review & called me) I explained to her what happened & after sending some pictures to them a new chair & Pad was on the way 2 days later. The delivery company & my schedules didn't allow delivery of new & removal of old chair until Dec 3, Used last night for first time & so far so good no hole burn thru new one. I will also add, For about the last yr & a half I've had a constant pain in both my legs in the calf area which I've been taking medication for daily,After using the chair for about 4 days that pain is gone, Theres still some tightness but getting better with stretches But I've been able to stop taking the medication so I'm glad to say NO MORE PILLS!!!!! So as far as costumer service goes I'm going to increase to 5 stars After testing out the Infinity Genesis SE at Costco for about 90 min we decided to make the investment so put the money down Sept 16 2018 & Was told there was a 5 to 7 week back order,Chair was delivered within 2 weeks,, GREAT!!!!.First thing I noticed is this chair seems to be assembled a little differently than the one tested, I don't remember at all the floor model having the main frame of the chair designed so that your elbows are driven into a very hard surface when the airbags for you arms inflate caused real pain which caused bruising on my elbows. So now when I feel the arm bags inflate I have to be aware & move my arms forward every time. 2nd, Wakeup Sat Nov 3 2018 to a chilly morning got into the chair turned on the heat function set which massage I wanted & put a light blanket over me I started to relax as best I could {Having to remember my arms) about 15 minutes later I'm saying to myself "Damn this thing is getting hot" get out of the chair lift up the cushion & theres a hole burnt thru the upholstery & the heating element is exposed & the cushion is smoldering .So after killing power & putting out the fire I'm trying to decide if I want to make a 200 mile round trip to another Costco to investigate the arm problem & If we decide to keep the chair the wife & I have agreed the only way is a whole new chair, At this writing to be honest I have not yet contacted their customer service.

This chair has been a lifesaver. I have had back problems since June last year and was unable to walk much let alone play tennis. After 4 weeks of use, I have no more pain and am back on the court.

We purchased the Iyashi massage chair and have been thrilled with the quality of the chair. The large track makes a very enjoyable full body massage. But, more importantly (to me) the company stood behind their promises and delivered fabulous customer service. There were a few issues with delivery, and in the end their Sales and Service folks listened to their customer experience and did everything in their ability to make it right. I worked with Ian who was wonderful in Customer Service, and with Tyler who was a great Sales Rep. Even the Sales Manager Ethan got involved and was VERY professional. Rest assured that you will receive a quality product from a quality company.

We love our new massage chair It relaxes me at night or gets me going if I need to I would definitely recommend this chair. I'm 5'5, with sciatic pain, and it reliefs the pain My husband is 6'1, and has knee and low back issues, which helps him too.

I purchased the Alterra through Costco during one of Infinity's kiosk promotions. I also purchased an Osaki 3D Cyber Pro at the same time. I had both chairs in my home to compare. The Altera blew it away and we sent the Osaki back. Not that the Osaki was terrible, it just fell short in the programming department. All of the preset programs on the Osaki lacked depth. Only the "Stretch" preset was, in my opinion, very good. The others were not focused and seemed to jump from one thing to the next too quick without finishing a theme. The only way to get the massage I wanted on the Osaki was through the manual settings. Conversely, the Altera has extremely thoughtful and comprehensive presets that have a continuity that can best be described as immersive. All of the presets are different and really have a patience and a point to them. The Altera feels like they obviously spent a LOT of time programing an engaging and varied experience in each preset. The manual functions are outstanding as well if you want to focus on just one thing. Assembling the Altera took about 15-20 minutes, connecting a few hoses and the lower unit. The Osaki came in many different sections that had to be assembled with many bolts, washers and allen wrenches. And the tubing was a bit difficult to connect. It took well over an hour. We also don't have a lot of room to spare in the bedroom. Being able to place the Altera just four inches from the wall put this chair over the top. Well done!

It was money well spent. I love my chair and use it every night!
