ImgurReviews of imgur.com

flooded with ads, the design looks awful, and it feels like the whole experience has gone downhill. On top of that, there's an endless stream of low-quality, AI-generated games and content that nobody asked for. What makes it even worse is the shady marketing. Using domains associated with other websites to redirect people to Imgur feels incredibly scummy and shows a complete lack of respect for users. The website feels less like a place for sharing images and more like an advertising platform trying to squeeze as much attention and money out of visitors as possible. The user experience feels like an afterthought. Really disappointing to see a website like this become what it is today. One star.

Subhuman devs making web unusable

I uploaded a couple fun memes I made and then Imgur started telling me to download their app,I had to download their app, they wouldn’t let me post unless I downloaded their app. Well I used a vpn workaround to post a meme about them forcing me to downloaded their bloatware hacker app, guess what? They banned me. Took less than 24 hours to get banned by Imgur lol.

Unfortunately, I can’t rate this website any lower than one star. It has always been a toxic cesspool for politically obsessed weirdos(more on one side than the other but let’s not split hairs) I was banned on the mobile app merely for being downvoted for debating people. I never insulted anyone directly nor threatened them despite receiving both myself from others. I believe in free speech, so I didn’t care. Anyway, I have just used the web browser to view memes while not logging in. Guess what these muppets have done? They now have an ad that you can not close for their shitty biased app that appears while scrolling. It doesn’t time out, it can’t be closed with an X. It seems this garbage pail of politically obsessed trash is finally dying and desperate for more users. Political extremism and unfair reporting and moderating mixed with incessant and aggressive ads mean you should stay away from this site if you value your sanity.

Imgur used to be my favorite site to go view funny memes, videos, stories, and such. Now you're forced to view politics because users refuse to use tags. Then they argue with you if you complain about users not using tags. Tags are meant so users can filter but apparently the majority of them want to force their hateful views onto you. Imgur is no longer what it used to be.

Uploaded image albums spontaneously self-destruct and fail to load, even when using the provided share link.

Unless "Imgur" reverses its decision to block access in the UK, it is of no use whatsoever. Unfortunately American users are still using imgur, unaware of this problem. Either close down the site altogether, or reinstate UK access. NO OTHER OPTIONS!
