If I could give 0 stars I would. This company is a fraudulent company and misrepresents itself. I ordered wall sconces which took a long time to receive that I disputed my charges with my bank. When I finally received them all parts were literally thrown in a box unwrapped and no material to protect it. I started emailing the company about a return and they just keep you at bay sending emails to ask you to keep the item and take a discount. I tried calling their customer service number and it too is not a viable number. Unbelievable! Beware!!! $80 down the drain.

I ordered two Retro Table cordless table lights. I was send two different lights from what I ordered! I reached out through email, facebook & instagram. I was offered discounts but I did not want that, I wanted the lamps I had ordered and payed for! I was told they were out of stock so they’d sent me the alternatives ( without communicating with me first) yet I was still seeing the lamps I wanted advertised. I tried to get a refund through PayPal but was told I had to PAY to return what Iluminate had incorrectly send me. Absolutely ridiculous and so wrong.

DO NOT TRUST ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! EVEN THE PRODUCTS I RECEIVED AND DIDN'T RAISE CONCERNS OVER ARE NOT FUNCTIONING OR DIMMING CORRECTLY!!! Expensive moon lamp arrived damaged. I reached out to illuminating directly with photos of damaged product and told them that other components of order were missing. Shortly after I received the missing components with no word in regards to the damaged moon lamp. VERY CONVENIENTLY they responded a FULL 30 days AFTER my first complaint once I sent a follow up email. 30 days is the time limit where you can no longer receive a simple refund and they are able to generate a return label. They stated that my replacement must have been lost (even though no replacement notification or tracking had been sent). They said that another replacement would be issued. Once the new replacement had arrived I noticed that they had modified the product to be completely different than the product they had sold. The original product is a moon lamp with a led backlighting. The light lit up a painted round moon. It was also meant to be mounted high on a wall and had bare wires meant to be hardwired into the wall like any other wall light. The replacement had a large tubular light ring in the FRONT of the moon. No longer backlit but a big ugly light ring in front of the moon. Also, they switched the product to have a plug instead of bare wires for hardwiring. I had already paid out electrician to prep the lamp to be hung and hardwired in. I was not going to pay him again to come install a plug. I asked if they had the original product I purchased as my wife did not like the big ugly ring on the outside of the lamp. They assured me that the new version is an "upgrade" and I should be happy with the changes. I told them that it simply would not work for our purposes and that if they could not send the originally purchased product then I would require a full refund. After MANY weeks of back and forth where they kept offering multiple discounts for me to keep the lamp they finally agreed to process a refund but only if I paid for the return shipping. I told them that they sent me damaged products and then bait and switched me to a different product and I was not willing to pay for return shipping. They then said that there was nothing else they were willing to do. Will have no choice but to dispute the charge with my credit card company and leave negative feedback anywhere I can find to warn others.

My item came damaged. It has been over a month going back and forth over email and they claimed they sent a replacement but I never received shipping info. I believe they are a scam and highly unprofessional.

Like many Asian companies dealing in the US today, they’re liars and scammers!! They advertise “RISK FREE 30 day in home trial” yet when I contacted them one day after receiving the product to return them, they started by offering me 10% discount to keep the product. I said no I want to return it and they said fine for a 20% restocking fee and a $11.87 return label fee resulting in almost a 30% production in my refund…how is that risk free? 😡😡 Yes, they did reach out to me only AFTER I wrote this review, again they are making me jump through hoops backwards to get my refund… They sent me a link to fill out for the return, which I did early on Wed, was told that “once the request is reviewed someone will get back to you...” Today is Sunday and I still have not heard from them regarding their ‘follow up’?! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😡

Ordered 2 lamps from this website while trying several different options from multiple websites. After receiving the 2 Amazon lamps (2 for $50) before the Illuminating lamps, I was very pleased with them and their lower price range. When Iluminating lamps (2 for $87) finally arrived, I never even opened them. I am in the process of trying to return them for a refund and they have first offered 15% off the purchase….despite me never even opening the shipping box or the lamps themselves. It’s really going to upset me if they ultimately say they’ll give me store credit….ESPECIALLY because of how much I spent on this website, the unopened and unused items received and based on the fact that this company is based in “Dallas TX” and I could drive 2 hours to Dallas TX to give these items back to them if the shipping is the issue. So far, I think this company is a scam and/or does not value customer satisfaction.

Overpriced cheap Chinese made and shipped staff that doesn’t work properly. When item returned, they refused to refund. Instead, they sent me a gift certificate so that I can buy more of their garbage. They must be joking! Illuminating is the reason why Amazon is more reliable place to shop. Avoid this store.

I don't recommend! I bought two lamps and spent almost $400. They sent the wrong lamps and I was not able to change for the correct ones or return them. After almost a month of "we will contact the correct team" or "we will try to get permission for return", I did a charge back from my credit card. They contacted me immediately and send me a return label to return the lamp. I ended up buying the lamp I originally wanted on Amazon and had no issues.
