When I signed up for classes at ILKB I purchased a package of 75 non-expiring classes. I then purchased more classes from an individual who was moving out of the area; ILKB Lake Grove successfully transferred these classes to my name.
Fast forward to January 1, 2020 when patrons of the Lake Grove location were informed the owner went bankrupt and the new owner will not honor classes purchased as a package. I and others like myself was informed Deer Park ILKB or Bay Shore ILKB would accept transfers and honor our classes. Upon my visit to the Deer Park location she informed me they would not accept my 101 remaining classes. That is over $1000 in kickboxing classes the franchise and studios refuse to honor.
If any of the ILKB locations allowed me to attend classes, I would not be occupying space that could be used for a member paying a monthly fee because the studios are not close to capacity, there are several empty bags. It appears more locations will be closing.
Beware before signing up with ILKB. There are non-franchise kickboxing studios that will give better service.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! They do not care about you.
I fell for this awful scam. There is a promo for 3 free classes that I first bought (no one really ever gets to finish the trial classes) at the end of your first class, after your all hyped up, they pressure you to sign up on the spot with limited member options of a 6 or 12 month contract. At this point they make it seem like you can’t complete your trial classes and you have to sign up now.. So I signed up for ILKB at the beginning of the year (145$ a month, plus first and last months deposit for a 12 month membership. I paid almost 400$ at my first class), I was going to every class for about 2 or 3 months until my mom AND my boyfriend took on sudden life threatening illnesses. At this time I also got in a bad car accident and had substantial injuries (when it rains it pours right?) anyways, because of this I had to quit my job, among other hardships.
My doctor said I could no longer continue this class due to my injuries. I called ILKB after this all happened and asked to cancel, informed them that I was injured couldn’t make it in to cancel until I healed, and that would not be able to return after. I also requested a refund for the month or two I had missed, they said that under these circumstances they would compensate me and that they didn’t want me to pay for months That I could not use. But when I was able, I would have to bring in a doctors note.
They continued charging me for 3 months while I was recovering, offered no freeze on my account, I assumed this would be refunded after I submitted my paperwork.
When I was physically able to drive again, I went straight to ILKB with my doctors note and officially canceled. At first they weren’t even going to let me cancel because the doctors note didn’t specify exactly what injuries I had. However they were nice enough to make an exception, and they canceled my membership. but they never issued me a refund, so I disputed this through the bank. The bank issued me a partial refund.
Now fast forward 4-5 months after I cancel... ILKB charges me THREE TIMES (145$ each time)on the same day, right before Christmas, because the cancellation date on record when I came in to cancel with my paperwork is different than the date I called and stated I physically would not be able to make it into the building to cancel. They now refuse to refund me any money at all.
This company is completely money hungry and cares nothing about their clients. They are selfish scam artists, there are no words to describe how disgusted I am with this company and how upset I am that I gave ILKB over 1300$ and was only able to use 2 and a half months. They don’t care if you are hurt or struggling, they only want your money.

AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY
I have first hand experience with the I Love Kickboxing location on Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I would recommend that everyone AVOID doing business with this organization. They do not uphold their contractual commitments. They have not been honest or trustworthy, or responsive in their dealings with me. There are MANY other retail workout vendors that offer boxing and kickboxing workout alternatives at a MUCH lower price point, and without the fear that you might be screwed over as I have been. Feel free to call me for more details. Doug 719-351-1598

When I try to call Carle Place they NEVER answer their phone. Because of this I would never consider giving them my business

I joined ILOVEKICKBOXING.COM gym on…
I joined ILOVEKICKBOXING.COM gym on April 22, 2019 and paid $952.22 for 65 classes (approximately $13 per class). On November 7, 2019, the studio shut its doors with no notice to members and is not communicating with me to arrange a refund due to breach of contract. I currently have 57 paid classes still on the books, a value of $741. I have reached out to the owner via facebook and email, though the owner has not been willing to resolve the matter. Additioanlly, I have reached out the the primary organization via email and twitter and also have not recieved a response.

Membership terms are deceitful
Membership terms are deceitful. They blow your email/text up ridiculously but make it impossible to get a hold of them to resolve billing problems. Plan on paying out the butt if you sign up for trail classes, it’s a scam

THEY TRIED TO SCAM ME in Westminster, COLORADO
TL;DR: I signed the contract without reading and then regretted it because it has very shady policies, so I emailed ILKB to cancel my membership and they told me they'd cancel it but I continued to receive $39 weekly charges. When I disputed the charges through my credit card company they pushed back and tried to reverse the disputes by stating their 30-days cancellation policy. I won the case by highlighting the RIGHT TO RESCIND within 3 days (which I abided by) in their contract, but it took me 3 months to resolve the case.

I was introduced to my local iLoveKickboxing through groupon - a discounted price for a session of 3 work outs and a free pair of gloves. I went for one session and had an amazing experience - the instructor Draco was charismatic and seemed really concerned for personal growth and mental health. Loved it. Didn't think too much when he handed me a clipboard and a contract to sign. On the drive back home it really hit me: I can't actually afford to pay $39 A WEEK to be a part of any membership, not including the initiation fee! I immediately read the entirety of the contract I had just signed, and please note the following:
CANCELLATION POLICY
"All cancellations require a STRICT 30 DAYS NOTICE. This means after a member gives notice of termination 4 more weekly payments are due immediately as a termination fee. Upon cancellation, 4 weekly payments are drafted all at once and the member may continue to attend classes for 30 days past this final draft. Cancellations must be sent by email to ILKBwestminster2@gmail. Membership payments must be current and up to date and an exit interview is required to terminate agreement. If cancelled in the middle of the month I agree to a prorated amount of $8 per calendar day. The one year Grand Champion term membership requires a $195 termination fee. . . any memberships paid in full are non refundable. Westmisnter Kickboxers LLC does not offer refunds for any monies already paid."
NON-USE
"The failure or inability of the member to use the facilities, classes or services of the facility for any reason, will neither relieve nor suspend the Member's obligation to make all payments required under this agreement on a timely basis, nor entitle the member to a refund or credit of tuition."
NON-CANCELLABLE **IMPORTANT**
Right to recession - The Buyer may rescind this agreement at any time prior to midnight three business days after the date of this agreement. The member understands that after the member's right to cancel expires, the Member cannot cancel this agreement and payments must be made as agreed. Cancellation policy is then enforceable as agreed on the first page of agreement.
So I IMMEDIATELY emailed the ONLY contact Draco (the coach) and the contract gave me to cancel my membership -- their financing email. Draco made a point that it was their job, not his; to email them, not him. They emailed me back trying to get me to stay, and when I refused, they said they cancelled my membership. THEY CONTINUED TO CHARGE ME WEEKLY. I disputed the charges through my credit company, but the charges would not stop -- I emailed them again multiple times with no response. I eventually contacted Draco about it, which only then did the weekly payments actually stop.
I thought it was over. 3 months after having stepped into their studio, my credit card company reversed the dispute with iLoveKickboxing providing the contract and highlighting the 30-days-notice cancellation policy. I promptly called my credit card company to point to the 'right to rescind' portion of the contract they documented, and then referred to the emails that proved I rescinded within the 3 days. Case closed: I won.
But man, I couldn't believe how hard they tried to milk money out of my one day attending a class.
