A hotel that uses this service is really short sighted. I don't mind paying for shipping , however its pretty clear that your going to get fleeced with their charge. Second, the service is a pain and its disjointed. Hilton used to take that opportunity to show their service and their commitment to their customers. I guess some manager thought it would be a good way to not have to have that on their plate instead of seeing a much bigger picture. Not very smart and in the long run i think its costly -

It would be best to not leave your stuff behind. My family stayed at an avantstay property and my granddaughter left a birthstone necklace on the porch. It’s a $50 item and it cost $42 to be returned, but this is my granddaughter. However, avantstay put the item in a flimsy small envelope, someone at the post office opened the envelope, and i received an empty envelope. The investigation took forever and the documentation i had to provide was ridiculous. I’m still waiting for a check for close to $100. DONT LEAVE A VALUABLE ITEM BEHIND. This company is a sham.

I don't understand how this is legal They're holding peoples medical devices hostage, literally for a ransom. This is not a service, it's a disservice.

Left a shirt at the hotel. Contacted the hotel and was directed to the website. I lodged an enquiry and they found my item. When I tried to get it sent back the cheapest shipping option was $290 USD. I could buy around 4 new shirts for this price! This service is absolutely useless.

We left a small cord in our room that charges a small wearable microphone directly to a set of hearing aids. The Best Western in Gettysburg said they did find our item and they would send me an email on shipping charges. The form asks about the item and its value. Then lists the first price as $80-some dollars! This item would fit on the smallest envelope. If we didn’t mind waiting longer to receive our item, it was around $38.00. I looked at ratings and all the hotels love it; all the guests hate it. Convenience at the expense of customer service and good will.

This is highway robbery company. We took a trip from Florida to North Carolina to deliver a hoveround mobility wheelchair to a 90 year old man. Well we stayed at Best Western Asheville North Carolina and by mistake my husband left two of my expensive pillows that are used for my condition. I was in a bad accident and I have to have these pillows. I called the hotel as soon as we arrived home which was 9 hours later the front desk guy said he would call me back nothing. I called back in the morning and spoke with a lady this time she took my name and number she called back and said we have your pillows. She said they would arrive in 2-3 days and she would send me a link I pay and that was it. I got the link and the price was $187.55 for two pillows. I checked out how much it would be to replace them and had no choice I had to pay that. That is more than I paid to stay in the Best Western Asheville North Carolina so what does that tell you. Being handicapped is not fun and I am on a fixed income. And for that much money they should arrive in 2-3 days but no next week sometime. I called the corporate office for Best Western and got no help at all that lady told me to call the hotel back so I did. Got the same lady I talked to on Monday and she said my pillows were heavy. I asked to speak to a manager she said he's unable. I said please have him call me never happened. I wrote an email to left my stuff and I am calling the FTC tomorrow to file a complaint on this company. Beware of this company there are a lot of complaints.

Wish I had read reviews first before we decided to use this service. We left three full bottles of wine in a carrier in the hotel room. Called the hotel and they recommended we use this service. (The hotel will hear about our experience too.) We used ground service since the hotel is only about 2-1/2 hrs from our home. Tracking indicates the item was picked up and delivered to the local USPS location then it dropped off the map. Just "en route" since then. After contacting support, we were told they do not accept alcohol! Well, I'm sure that was one of those Terms that we didn't read, but they did pick it up and it did apparently get to the post office but now ileftmystuff is indicating our claim may not be approved for reimbursement. We will be following up with the local USPS location as well.

Terrible experience with ileftmystuff RUINED an otherwise pleasant stay at the Rowan Palm Springs. I get why this model is interesting for a hotel, but for the room rate we paid some actual service is expected. No response from ileftmystuff. No update from UPS. Fee for shipping return was outrageous.
