This is not a domain registrar. If you have an invoice from this company, delete it.

SCAM - be aware. Received an 'invoice' for just under £200 for my 'domain renewal' that does not expire for another year. Checked with my domain name register company and they said any domain registration charges would be payable to them and no one else.

This parasitic company of scammers send out misleading invoices to companies and organisations suggesting they're charging to renew company websites, when in actual fact they're billing you to "remind" you when your website renewal date is approaching! We have previously emailed them back and told them to never contact us again, but they still do so every year. We have now registered a complaint about them with Information Commissioners Office [ICO] who can levy large fines against them for blatant misuse of company data, and especially when they have been specifically told to delete our data and never contact us again. I suggest everyone reading this who has been contacted by IDM does the same: the more complaints and the more fines applied may lead to this scum company being refused a licence from ICO to use and keep data and may [hopefully] force them out of business.

Received an unsolicited email from IDM UK headed as a reminder for an invoice of £96, giving a payment due date and stating that non-payment would result in deactivation of the service. We have never instructed IDM UK to manage or renew our domain and have no business relationship with them. On reading the small print, the £96 is actually for a “domain renewal notification service” and the email acknowledges that IDM UK is not our registrar. In our view, presenting an unsolicited offer in this manner is extremely misleading. We will not be paying it and have reported the email.

I manage my chess club’s website. Our elderly club president received a e-mail from these scamming, scummy clowns with an invoice for over £80 threatening that our service might be cut off. Someone from this company found his details online to target him. Predatory and amoral behaviour.
