Hello Jodie. Back in March, your company took out additional financing from another lender and we reminded you of our policy and the terms of the contract you signed, which prohibits our clients from taking additional financing from online lenders once they’ve funded with Idea Financial. We allowed the draw you requested in March despite the violation of our policy. Your most recent request was denied because your business, again, took out additional financing in violation of the terms of our contract. We spend considerable time underwriting our merchants to ensure they can afford to service debt. “Stacking”, which is when merchants take additional financing from another online lender, creates more risk on our end and that is why our contract, which you signed, clearly prohibits this activity. At Idea Financial, we care a great deal about our small business customers. We also must ensure that the terms of our contracts are followed. When the contracts are violated, we cannot continue to fund. We hope you understand.

Mr. Sylvain: We take our customer reviews very seriously and strive to provide a high level of service. As you are aware, your business had a line of credit with Idea Financial which is always subject to financial review. Our decision to terminate the relationship was based upon our underwriting policies. You were aware that there was an underwriting review taking place and you were further aware that your funding request would be determined only after the review was complete. Our representatives have been attempting to contact you for over one week to communicate our decision but never received a response. While it is always our goal to provide excellent customer service, we must follow our policies and procedures as it relates to funding. We are sorry that you feel you had a bad experience and we wish you well.
