The other version of I ready is better than I already Pro. We need the old ready back. What I used to do is play games on math.

If you want to make students absolutely detest learning, i-Ready is the perfect blueprint. It is marketed as an advanced, adaptive learning tool, but in reality, it operates like a digital prison that punishes students for being human.1. The Diagnostic Test is Intolerant and BrokenThe core engine of this platform is the diagnostic test, which uses a completely unforgiving algorithm. If a student understands a complex concept but makes a simple typo, presses the wrong key, or loses focus for a single second, the system immediately flags them as struggling. It then forces them backward into hours of elementary remediation. Teachers cannot easily see the exact question or the specific typo the student made, creating a "black box" that tricks schools into thinking a student lacks foundation when they just made a minor interface error.2. Progress is Punitive, Not RewardingIn a standard educational tool, you learn from your mistakes. In this system, missing a single question near the end of a long, unskippable module can instantly wipe out your progress and force you to restart the entire lesson from scratch. It does not teach; it penalizes. This structure turns learning into an exhausting, high-anxiety chore where the main goal is avoiding a glitch or a trick question rather than actually absorbing math or reading.3. Unskippable, Patronizing PacingThe platform treats users like toddlers, regardless of their actual age or grade level. The forced, painfully slow audio clips and animations cannot be skipped or sped up. Students are held hostage by repetitive prompts, forced to wait out timers just to submit an answer they figured out in two seconds. It completely kills the momentum of fast learners while utterly draining the energy of everyone else.4. The Joke that is "i-Ready Pro"For older students transitioned to the "Pro" version, the platform manages to get even worse. Any minor "brain break" games are completely stripped away. In their place are mandatory mindfulness and meditation videos that absolutely no one watches. It is a lazy, patronizing attempt at mental health awareness that serves as nothing more than a roadblock keeping you from finishing your required minutes.Final Verdict: 1/5 StarsThis software is bought by administrators who look at spreadsheet data, not by the people who actually have to sit in front of the screen. It turns classrooms into silent rooms of pure frustration, anxiety, and boredom. It is easily the worst educational platform ever designed.

ive had to deal with this hellish site and its not fun. first off teachers cannot view what students got wrong or what they got right in the diagnostic. so if a student had a typo or something the computer would think they are stupid and give them easier testing.. and second if your in a higher grade you have to deal with i ready PRO and that is EVEN WORSE. theres NOT A SINGLE brain break game in i ready pro and instead its just a mediation video that no one even watches.

This program is an abomination, a waste of time, and i-Ready PRO made it even worse. I-Ready PRO supposedly makes it better for older kids, but it's just as good as those other boring prison cells called i-READY lessons. This thing doesn't help anyone at all learn why it is an absolute annoyance, slow, and useless. Why It Is An Absolute Nightmare, Infuriatingly Slow: The animations are so slow that you spend more time watching the characters speak than actually learning anything. Punishing Grade: Miss a single question and you fail, making it so that you have to repeat the lesson over again for what little progress you've made. Mind-Numbing Lessons: All of the videos are so boring that you'd rather stick a screwdriver in your eye than watch another second of it. Constant Crashes: It crashes almost all the time, and when it does, you lose almost all your progress. Pure Hassle: It's basically just a big annoyance that makes everyone that uses it feel like ripping their own eyes out from the sheer stress, anxiety, and depression that this thing brings. It makes everyone hate the subject that it is being used for, whether good or bad. Fake XP System: Adding an utterly cheap XP system onto this thing does nothing to make it feel less like prison work. Grinding for hours on end just to unlock some breathing exercises that you could've had from the beginning is an insult. Endless Unlocking: By forcing us to unlock the next set of lessons by doing the ones before it, you are caging us in this system until we do them, and if you get stuck on a math thing, your whole dashboard is stuck. Same Diagnostic: You changed the skin, but the system is still the same disgusting mess of a diagnostic, that takes hours on end to complete only to berate you for getting a single question wrong. It still asks questions that have nothing to do with the lessons we're taking in school. and there's no game break in the pro version Mindless Word Problems: On the math side, you have pointless word problems instead of actual exercises. They serve little purpose other than waste our time with busy-work that doesn't even teach anything. Aggressive Weekly Tracking: By tracking how much time we waste on "My Path", you are enabling teachers to monitor compliance by forcing us to stare at a screen for a certain amount of time every week, whether or not we gain anything from it. Stop with the soul-crushing prison software that wastes the youth of America's time with "learning". Take this thing away from us already! Although, staring at a computer screen for almost an hour long has taught me how to blink morse code to signal for help. this review is for a time span from when i started school until now (K-8)
