Dr. Damania's passion for teaching is obvious and his videos are even more helpful because of that. He focuses on you understanding the concepts rather than just straight up memorizing the material and keeps you actively engaged as he goes through. His active recall approach really works well for me and the fact that he has UWorld question numbers associated with his videos makes it even more helpful! I stumbled upon his youtube channel a few weeks ago and finally decided it was worth paying for the pass/fail program. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE! Not only have my scores boosted tremendously, my confidence has as well (which alone I think increased my scores a few points). I cannot recommend this program enough! The BEST resource to crush your USMLE step 1. The high yield concepts explained with clinical vignettes and the keywords to find in the lengthy question stems were so well highlighted and explained in the videos that during the actual exam day it felt as if the questions are tailor made from those kind of HY concepts. The review of each and every system was like a summary of the FA and the high yields were almost engraved in the memory by the time one finishes watching the video. I would recommend Hyguru prep content to all the USMLE step 1 aspirants.

I had a great experience using HyGuru to study for my USMLE Step 1 exam. I was very impressed by both the study strategies course and the pass-fail course. As someone who hasn't really struggled with test-taking in the past, I was initially a bit skeptical about the study strategies course. However, I found the course to be very useful and walked away with strategies and skills that I can apply not only for Step 2 studying but generally throughout my academic and medical career. The high-yield pass-fail course was also really well done in my opinion. High-yield information packaged into a digestible format that took the guesswork out of studying. One of my favorite aspects of the course, and something that I haven't yet seen anywhere else, is that Rahul finds UWorld questions that correlate with his videos and then provides the USMLE IDs so that you can create a custom question set to practice applying concepts you just went over in his video. This was extremely helpful for reinforcing concepts and targeted study. It's evident that a lot of thought and time has gone into the creation of the course. Rahul is very intentional about helping students learn in an integrative manner. This intentionality was reflected both in his courses as well as his one-on-one tutoring. As a tutor, he was energetic, supportive, and kind while being realistic with me. I really appreciated that he would check in on me in between sessions, the days leading up to my exam, and even after the exam as well. Everyone knows that there are about 100+ different STEP review companies and materials, but I can say with confidence that HyGuru is among the very best of them.
