Second year medical student that just received my step 1 score back (PASS🎉). I really enjoyed how Dr. Damania focused on highlighting the similarities and differences for various disease presentations - I think this really helped separate them in my mind and tackle problems where the USMLE tries to get you on those minute differences. I also really enjoyed how he would broaden the point because I tend to do that in my own studying. For example, in one of the videos when he talks about psammoma bodies in papillary thyroid carcinoma - broadening our thinking of ok where else do we see psammoma bodies. My biggest problem with other review resources (which I still really enjoyed and used) were the missing visuals and associated practice questions. I think Dr. Damania’s formula of content+questions+related topics/concepts is golden! Looking forward to using his programs during my step 2 studying as well!!

Step 1: Dr. Damania’s videos were a blessing at the right time. I was struggling while preparing for step 1. So as I started to listen to lectures to get my basics right I came across the hyguru videos on YouTube . They enhanced my understanding and knowledge and was a great tool to listen to while strolling around with my toddler on a walk. Step 2: the course came out at the right time and was very helpful especially the annotations for the relevant uworld questions given in each lecture- that is very UNIQUE and helpful . It helped me in my prep again! By Gods grace I passed both the exams. General principles review was done with an excellent job of covering everything very concisely. Breaking everything down into systems really helped a lot because that’s how my medical school taught so it made the review really user friendly. My favorite sections though were neuro and cardio. These reviews not only helped me on step but also for my exams during basic sciences. I’d say another highlight would be your autonomic drugs video since those can be really confusing. But again I feel like the program as a whole contributed greatly to my success on the exam and hope in the future to use HYguru content for shelf exams and step 2!

After using the Step 1 review course, I registered for the STEP 2 CK and in February attended the live Surgery review course. Once I completed the course, I immediately felt more confident and went ahead and scheduled my exam and took it within 2 weeks. The Surgery review course covered most of the topics I needed to review for the exam. Being able to ask questions and get answers and advice live was invaluable as well. The surgery course in addition to the test taking, IM, Peds etc. sections already in the full STEP 2 CK course have made me feel more comfortable and confident about taking my STEP 2 CK exam. His energy is contagious and he always encourages you to keep pushing. I got my results today and I PASSED my STEP 2 exam. I highly recommend all the HyGuru courses. HyGuru’s videos were game-changing for my step 1 prep. I only wish I discovered his material sooner so that I could have taken an official course. His active learning sessions made a huge difference for me in allowing me to actively review high yield material. I will be recommending his courses/videos to all of my peers and using HyGuru for step 2 studying!

HyGuru Step 2 Prep Course is a life changer. It gave me exactly what I needed to make the jump I needed in my score. The way that his course is organized and the manner in which he groups topics really helps to organize information in your brain and apply it to questions.
