HpiinfoReviews of hpiinfo.com

Just put my car up for sale on carsireland and an hour later had a call from an Indian sounding gentleman (I use this word with caution as scammers aren't gentlemen by any stretch). The number he called from was 01 966 3998 and he said his name was Robert.... Anyway, he asked a few questions about the car and said he would pay full price but that I had to get an HPI report from hpiinfo. He said it was an English based website. I said I had never heard of that website and added that he was better off using an Irish vehicle check website. I hung up. He tried to call again but I just ignored it. Detestable people....

I received a call (01) 966 3998 explaining they are interested in buying my car from a car sales website. They offered to buy it today for the asking price with cash. Asked me to get a vehicle report from a website called HPNIIFO and explained they would reimburse me for the cost of the report. Fake website and fake buyer.

Total scam! What buyer would offer full asking price in CASH?! I received a call from +353 (1) 966 3998 making an appointment to see the car same day and offered full cash payment, but then insisted on report for car on hpiinfo.com which would cost seller €30! Luckily I refused as I would be forking out hundreds of euros if I was to get reports from all the different sites buyers are asking me to run car through! Very frustrating!! Be vigilant and don’t get caught! Good luck

SCAM ATTEMPT – Ireland / HPIINFO I was contacted by a person shortly after listing my car for sale on DoneDeal. He introduced himself as Mason, said that he was originally from Sri Lanka, and claimed that he currently lives in Finglas, Dublin. The caller contacted me from the following number: +353 1 966 3397 He claimed that he was genuinely interested in buying my car and immediately agreed to my full asking price. He then insisted that I purchase a vehicle history report specifically from hpiinfo.com, saying that he would reimburse me for the cost afterwards. I obtained a vehicle history report from a legitimate Irish provider instead, but he rejected it and insisted that I must obtain the report specifically from hpiinfo.com. I did not make any payment and did not provide my card or bank details. I have since found multiple reports from other Irish car sellers describing the same pattern involving hpiinfo.com. The exact phone number +353 1 966 3397 has also been reported by another seller in connection with an HPIINFO scam. The caller ID appears to be an Irish Dublin landline number, but this does not establish the caller’s identity or actual location. I cannot independently verify the identity or background information provided by the caller. I am reporting this incident to warn other vehicle sellers in Ireland and to help prevent further people from being targeted. Website involved: hpiinfo.com Name used by caller: Mason Phone number used: +353 1 966 3397 The official HPI website is hpi.co.uk.

SCAM! Rang straight after posting car for sale, rude and demanding hpi check, pc virus software prompted threat when I went onto site "Mason was telling me to go onto"

Scammers. Same as others. Rang to buy a car etc etc etc.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Within 5 minutes of posting my car for sale on DoneDeal, I received a call from someone calling himself "Brent" from the Dublin number 01 966 3398. He claimed he was willing to drive over two hours to view the car that same day, but only if I first paid for a report from HPIINOF. It immediately felt suspicious. I checked Trustpilot and found numerous reviews describing the exact same experience an immediate phone call, a keen buyer, and pressure to purchase the same vehicle history report. This appears to be a scam Please be extremely careful if you receive a call like this.

Spam phone calls from +353 (1) 966 3397 its people pretending to interested in buying your car, but really just trying to sell you hpi reports, or possibly scam you.
