I am in China, I cannot use the CDN of HighWinds, your node server IP is blocked in China

Hostwinds didn't work for me. I had problems connecting with the FTP. So I cancelled the order within a few hours of purchase (and well within its supposed “60 day money back guarantee”). However, when you cancel the order it does NOT automatically generate a refund. You have to contact the billing team separately and chase them for a refund!. They took payment immediately but I am still waiting (over a week) for a refund.

We used Hostwinds for a VPS for about 3 years. While we did have minimal downtime compared to our experiences with other hosting companies, towards the end of our time with Hostwinds the downtime had increased significantly enough for us to leave them. Canceling is a complete pain the butt. They make it very difficult to process a cancellation ticket- to the point where after paying for 3 extra months of service that we weren't using, I had to do a chargeback. Then they FINALLY canceled our account. I am giving Hostwinds 2 stars for the decent-ish amount of uptime we had- but giving a warning that it is a pain-in-the-rear to cancel service.
