This is a scam. They will not cancel your subscription when requested and keeps on charging you random amount.

I requested cancellation of ALL Hostwinds services, they kept billing me for "object storage" for months without any emails etc. It is buried in the footer of one of their replies that they won't cancel any service "for" you despite telling you that your services are cancelled (except they did cancel some services and cherry picked what not to cancel), then cease to provide any further communication that they are billing you. I discovered it on my Visa, and had to create a ticket to find out what they wouldn't say when I requested cancellation, that unless you go through your account with a fine-tooth comb and look for anything they can possibly bill you for (that you didn't create, was auto-created for you and NOT under the products section where all your other stuff is) and cancel it manually yourself, then request formal written notice that all products and services (or anything they can possibly invoice you for) is cancelled, then they'll just keep billing you for months or years. Other hosts don't do this. You cancel with another host, and you're cancelled. They consider this as a "separate" service, and even though I requested cancellation of all hostwinds "service" they didn't count this and claimed I had to do it yourself, where no other host seems to have this policy, for a very, very good reason. I should have checked the Better Business Bureau report of their complaints first, for which things like this appear over and over despite them stating they will make cancellation easier for customers (they haven't). They are going out of their way to make cancellations difficult for consumers and not making any good faith efforts to ensure they can do so without jumping through several hoops. No further communications, nothing. Just bills (no reminder emails either). This is structural deception to gain fraudulent funds. They must really be hurting for money if they have to opt you into stuff you didn't even want, or use, then refuse to cancel it, hide it, then not make perfectly clear this extra charge you didn't want will keep going, after 3 cancellation requests. 3. Finally got it cancelled but only because I went through every aspect of the past account and deleted anything I could find, then formally requested in writing proof that there was nothing else they could or would continue trying to bill me for (and put a stop-payment on my VISA). Stay away from this scammers, hostwinds service went downhill lately. They will charge your credit card at will. They billed my CC twice a month for the same hosting account. The same account was more offline than online.

i purchased ddos protection for my dedicated server thru the upgrade option on the dedicated server panel, 3 months ago. i was then ddos attacked on the night of 10/25 and did NOT receive any type of resolution for over 12 hours and was also sent a reply that was intended for another customer while being ignored. i requested a refund for the 3 months of ddos protection in which i was denied due to the protection being applied to a different block of ip addresses but not the block that i purchased. thats not my fault as i purchased ddos protection specifically thru the dedicated server upgrades/addons section. why would it not be applied to the block of ips that the dedi server is on? then act like its my fault. thats just really really really bad customer service. when you need them most they turn their back on you and youre just another dollar sign. shame that a small company cant make a long time paying customer happy with a simple refund of $150 when they were clearly in the wrong. and not even offer half a refund or anything. i get nothing. no soup for me, only ddos attacks and my money taken from hostwinds. i have taken my dedicated server business elsewhere to a company with real ddos protection and support and i will be cancelling my web hosting with them soon as well. also have something in their terms and conditions that says youre not allowed to file chargebacks against them, what company does that? super scummy business practices

Worst hosting and support extortion on bandwidth in 2020 0.01 per gb lol in 2020. I cancelled they charget my 30 euro a month server 120 in bandwidth over charge. Go to other providers and let them die slowly.

This a company has very poor customers service, I have cancelled my service in July but they are still charging me . I requested to my credit card company to stop payment but still they are taking money from my account. Please don’t trust their service . Thanks

They have scammed me for more than $1100 and held my money hostage! the support does nothing says, " billing depart will contact you" billing depart copies and paste messages, They causes me losses more than $2000 when their hosting when down for 10 days for me and no one helped me to get my websites up , i kept requesting 6them to help me get everything online and created several tickets! they are careless and very lazy and will scam you after you pay them. Many people have been scammed by them. All good reviews here on trust pilot are fake or the people are paid to write good reviews! stay waway from these scammers!
