DO NOT Trust the reviews on Host Advice...they do NOT leave the negative reviews for any of these highly reviewed web hosting companies up...i.e I left a negative review for DTS-NET and it was never published. DTS-NET did not refund my money although they have a 30 day guarantee refund policy. So when trying to leave this review on Host Advice, they never published it and when I asked why through their chat they claimed I had to contact them by email ????? What? Why do I have to email you about my review? if you are NOT bought by these companies as you say just post the damn review!!!...do NOT believe the high rating for these web hosting services, Host Advice is not giving you the whole story by only publishing positive reviews and not posting the negative ones.

I'm so naive! I am a blogger who is starting my website. I'm looking around the net for information about site hosts, and this chat box magically pops and someone starts "helping" me choose a hosting provider. He asks a few questions and makes a recommendation -- complete with a discount link. I was dazzled! How nice! Like finding an employee in a store who actually wants to help you and knows something about the products! But I continued my research, of course. I go back to the links Host Advice had sent -- and they had disappeared and that part of the chat was now closed. I reopen the chat and request the links. No response. I request again. No response. Now I come here to discover that the links are worthless anyway. It wasn't a ripoff -- as far as I know -- but it was annoying -- and I feel like a fool for having been taken in.

It seems completely unnecessary to us that HOST ADVICE need not only proof of an invoice in order for our review of Bluehost to be published on their site, but they also need additional personal information from a social media profile, as if we have time for all this nonsense social media garbage. And on top of having a "social media profile", it still needs to be approved as "legitimate" by Host Advice first, because maybe our "social media" garbage isn't junky enough. Why isn't an invoice enough?? Because Host Advice is a dishonest front serving as advertising for Bluehost, and THE REVIEWS OF HOST ADVICE ARE FAKES!! complete advertising phonies, wasting every bodies time. At least we can post a review of HOST ADVICE so people don't lose any time reading anything from these HOST ADVICE. Below is the email we received from Host Advice after trying to post a review. Hello, Thanks for taking your time to write a review about BlueHost at HostAdvice. Since your review is really negative, I would please need your name and your social media profile (Twitter, facebook, g+1 or linkedin) in order to make sure that you are a real person. If that is fine with you, please send me a link to one of your social profiles and if everything seems legit your review will be kept on HostAdvice.com. Also, we need from you some evidence and name of site that was hosted on that hosting company. Please send us your email you’ve signed up with them + invoice. Thanks again for helping the web hosting community! Kind regards, Angela, HostAdvice reviews approval team.

Hostadvice is act as review site for web hosting industry, but infact they are doing blackmailing. They never remove any listing and always highlight negative review so that visitor visiting their site do not buy from the host he is looking, instead buy from their affiliate link or their advertiser. Never trust any review of hostadvice.

Its a con. 'Michael' recommended a host to me and gave me a discount coupon. When I went to check out with the host and it was the standard discount they offer themselves. I went back to host advice and they gave me a coupon worth virtually twice thevalue which i was pleased about but when i clicked on the link it took me to shared hosting. I went back to host advice and told them i needed Managed VPS as originally discussed and the guy seemed to be making up codes and couldnt give me a link. I went to checkout again and neither code worked. I went back to hostadvice and of course this time the guy who is called 'Michael' hung up on me. I went back again to see if it was an accident and of course he hung up on me again. Dont trust them

The chat expert was so rude that he did not listen to my feedback or suggestions for a corrective/preventive actions to improvise their rating system and he also blocked the chat system from my IP, in order to chat with him again.

It is questionable whether this is a genuine review platform or another advertising company trying to lure you into buying plans from hosting companies that have more advertising budget! It is recommended that you first read their criteria - if you can find it that is - before wasting your time!
