Repeated Authentication and Cursor Lag Cost Me Exam Time
This was the worst testing experience I’ve had. I began the authentication process at 11:55 a.m. for a test scheduled to start at noon, but repeated authentication requests delayed my access until 12:15 p.m. Once I accessed the test, my cursor moved extremely slowly, making my laptop feel almost frozen. It didn’t significantly affect my ability to take the test, but it made submitting my exam very difficult. I needed to upload a scanned PDF, and the lag made it hard to switch between tabs and windows. Submitting the exam took about 20 minutes. Overall, these issues cost me about 30 minutes of exam time. I couldn’t contact my professor to request extra time because the cursor was freezing and there wasn’t an easy way to reach them. My phone wasn’t nearby, and I avoided using it because of the instructions. I was using a MacBook Air with 8 GB of RAM.
