It's a complete scam
It's a complete scam. Bank's do title searches. It's on the bank if they give a loan. Easy to arrest any crook as the trail to borrower is clear. This is a miniscule event and seniors are the target. Your home will not be taken nor are you obligated on a false loan. These are the crooks selling such lunacy. Should be a crime to push this crap/

We respectfully disagree with your characterization. Title fraud is a documented and growing issue, often involving forged documents that can be recorded without immediate detection—regardless of lender involvement. While banks do perform title searches during loan origination, that process does not prevent fraudulent filings from occurring after the fact. In fact, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has issued warnings about quit claim deed fraud being on the rise, highlighting how criminals can illegally transfer property ownership without the homeowner’s knowledge. (You can learn more here: https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices/boston/news/fbi-boston-warns-quit-claim-deed-fraud-is-on-the-rise-) Dismissing this risk entirely overlooks real cases where homeowners have faced significant legal and financial challenges to restore their property rights. Our service exists to provide monitoring and alerts so homeowners can act quickly if any suspicious activity occurs. We stand by the value of helping homeowners stay informed and protected, and we encourage anyone with questions to research the issue thoroughly and make the decision that’s right for them.
