I wish I'd read Hockey Monkey's reviews before ordering. I ordered 3 items; only 1 shipped, and the other 2 never arrived. My first call to customer service meant a 32-minute hold; the rep was friendly and said she'd get the warehouse to ship the rest. Two weeks later, with nothing resolved, I called again (28-minute wait). This rep was also friendly, but said she couldn't refund me for the unshipped items without management approval — absurd, given she could see they were never shipped. I ordered on August 16th; it's now September 14th. I'm hoping the refund comes through, but I'm not holding my breath, and I dread finding out how long a third call would take.

Ai customer service that really sucks. Hard to get in contact with a real person.

No response from customer service. I ordered 2 items but never received them. Virtual assistant answering with apologies, but never a solution or help. Never ordering from here again.

I bought a jock for my son. It arrived and is NOT a HOCKEY JOCK. There are no velcro strips on the legs for which to attach the hockey socks. You'd think a website like HOCKEYmonkey.com would send you, you know, HOCKEY stuff. Anyway tried to get in touch with them for a return and it says the item cannot be returned. It's never been used! Try to get a person by chat box on their website.. it's just AI, which doesn't get you to a real person - EVER (been waiting 30 minutes). So I phoned them, still waiting another 30 minutes later. This company is @ss for customer service. Should have just ordered from PureHockey and returned them at the store if needed. F this company. Absolute thieves. I'll be reporting the charge to my credit card as fraudulent since they sent me a product that wasn't acceptable, and now they won't respond to inquiries.

I placed an order on HockeyMonkey and my payment was successfully charged from my Visa card. However, my order never appeared in my account, and I never received any confirmation or the products I paid for. I contacted customer support multiple times, but I either received no response or no real assistance. I provided proof of payment, but the issue has still not been resolved. Because the merchant failed to deliver the order or process a refund, I had to contact my bank and start a chargeback procedure. This has been a very disappointing experience. I expected much better customer service from a well-known retailer. I cannot recommend HockeyMonkey until they improve their customer support and take responsibility for payment issues.

Both of my sons ordered custom True player skates ($1500 each) at the beginning of March. There was a three week turn around. On April 11, we called the store and they said they just received the order. My son went to pick the skates up and they were missing their blades and other items. My son mentioned it and they went into the back and came out with the missing items. My son wanted his skates baked and he had to do it by himself burning his hands. Once he got home he could not get the blades in either holder. We also tracked the orders and found the store had received the skates three weeks prior and never called us and lied about when they were received. We went back to the store and they confirmed the holders were bad. They offered us Bauer holders or the original True holder. My son picked the True holder because he ordered custom skates and not Frankenskates. It has been three weeks so far and we still do not have the skates back. We keep getting emails stating we hope to have it resolved by Friday or this or that day. They could have ordered him a whole new pair by now. He is supposed to be playing in a tournament this weekend and cannot because he doesn't have his skates. This is unacceptable and I would not order anything custom from this store. This isn't the first time we have had issues with custom orders. Lesson learned. Beware because you will get nothing but false promises and be without your gear. At his point we want a refund to order somewhere else.

My experience is do not buy online from this company under name hockeymonkey in texas. I bought the ice skating size 9 but it loosely fit therefore I returned it in the same condition but I only got half the money I paid for. Even when I go online processing return it said you would get back certain amount but once item returned they deducted more than what they said after charging you shipping and returned shipping. In summary best to go to Local store, don't buy online from this company because you would loose more money even though you return it in original condition and this is the only place you can do a review. They don't even have legit site exists on Google for you to do the review so I'm sure there are a lot of people had bad experience but couldn't do the review. Their reviews said 4.6 probably fake.

I purchased hockey equipment for a long time and spend quite some money with them. Recently four hockey sticks for USD369.- each. The first stick snapped during the first use (warmup) So I did my first warranty claim. And guess what, I received an automated responce to contact the equipment manufacturer. I recommend strongly not purchasing from Hockey Monkey. Especially hockey sticks, which break faster than you will be able to replace them on your own expense and trouble
