HiCounselor provides a great and needed service that is extremely hard to find elsewhere. If you are a new graduate looking for technical jobs you cannot go wrong with HC. While the interview prepping was useful the main draw of HiCounselor is their networking system that is one of the most helpful tools in the job search that I have encountered.

I joined HiCounselor's program in April, 2020, 4 months after graduation. It was difficult to find a job during the Covid time, especially that I didn't have a strong technical background. I was also not familiar with networking strategies, which is another big disadvantage. Aditya and his team helped me get stronger in communicating, networking, selling myself, cracking interviews, and various strategies of getting leads. For those times I failed interviews, Aditya and his team encouraged me to continue, worked with me to do mock interviews. We would also meeting twice a week to adjust strategies. At the same time, I took some online courses to improve my technical background. In the end, I was able to get a job that I really liked. And some good habits I developed during the job seeking process (especially email drafting) really helped me in my career.

Before HiCounselor, I had a hard time getting calls for interviews. Where they shine is that they do the initial outreach for you and they are quite good at it. Tell them the kind of roles and companies that you are into and they'll do the rest. Due to this I was able to utilise my time preparing for interviews rather than searching for jobs online. I even got interview calls from companies that rejected my resume 2 months ago. Also, they are very good at making introduction to high value startups which otherwise are hard to get into and hire exclusively by word of mouth. So, if you are someone who is finding it hard to get interviews I highly recommend HiCounselor.

HiCounselor is a very professional and responsible organization, their strategy for the new grads or people who switch careers works so well that in each phase of the training you will see your progress visually. Especially helpful in my case is the technical interview preparation courses, I would like to thank Mr. Tylor who helped us to go through everything in data science technical interview in his sessions. Mr. Aditya is the founder and he keeps track of every move of each student, organized the whole training and answered all the questions we had, walk us through the unknown to a brighter future.
