I just received my first “DUI” in New Jersey along with a “Refusal”, and 3 additional moving violations (5 tickets total). I was looking at losing my driving privileges for 14-24 months, followed by a mandatory installation of an interlock device on my car, possible jail time, and thousands in fines. A friend had given me Herb’s number, so I gave him a call. Herb was able to get a dismissal on the “Refusal”, drop the moving violation charges , and a substantial reduction to the penalties for the DUI. I walked away with a 3 month license suspension, and 2 alcohol assessment classes. Without Herb things wouldn’t have gone so well, not too mention the thousands of dollars in fines he saved me. I got a traffic ticket because of using hand held device (cell phone) while driving which was my third offence. Judge said the fine shall be driver license suspension, $600 fine and points. So I called Mr. Ellis' office. I got the result yesterday which was $150 fine plus court fee $33, no points and no license suspension.
