It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had! There was a water pump directly above the room in the ceiling. It was so noisy and the constant noise was unbearable. The water pump was turning off and on all day and night! I was trying to communicate with the hotel staff over messages and emailed them the sound recording (note: there is no one to help you onsite) and they would take hours to respond and proceed to do nothing about the noise or move us to another room. I was even told to wear the provided earplugs and use the white noise machine that is provided in the room!! I didn’t sleep for 2 nights due to this. They said they would fix it and said it was fixed the following day but we returned to our room and it was still going on! I expressed that I wanted to cancel, get a refund as we had booked 3 nights and go to another hotel but they were not responsive. On the final night they moved us next door, which you could still hear the water pump going off but it was not as noisy. Another thing to note with this hotel is that they use a digital wallet application to open the front door that doesn’t always work and if you have internet issues then you can’t get in! I requested compensation for the first 2 nights and they refused. This is appalling from a hotel of this level and I have reported this experience to Booking.com as a formal complaint. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone if you would like a pleasant experience.

Please be aware that when you arrive you need a number to enter. When you're traveling all day and low availability for internet the last thing you expect is to need a code to come in because the door is locked and nobody answers when u knock or greets u. Basically a high end hostel. The unlocking door device needs to be powered on to enter the code. No guest service is available only a "security person" and no "lobby". When we arrived (Friday night) we let the "security person" person the air conditioning was not properly working. They said they would have someone check on it. Nobody came by. The following morning we alerted the cleaning staff about the air conditioning not properly working. They let us know that we should message the hotel service application because the guest two days prior than us have alerted them about the air conditioner not working but it was not fixed. I messaged the property by the application. They stated they would not have the air conditioner fixed until Monday. We went through 3 nights with no air conditioning rooms are extremely stuffy since no airflow is available other than a non functioning air conditioner. Monday we left early for an excursion and arrived about 4:00 pm. We entered expecting a cool room. We entered to a hot, humid, muggy room, closed room. No message from the hotel service as to the maintenance or even an update as to the air conditioner, basically the worst night since it was a very hot day. I messaged them again only to be answered un professionally and bothered indicating the air conditioner was not fixed since they were unable to get someone to check the issue. Day four without an air conditioner at one point the air conditioner completely shut down. Tuesday we were out all day, this time the hotel finally had someone come and fix the issue. It's very unprofessional and in poor taste to claim an air conditioner is available and not have it in a working state with guests coming in. I understand things break or don't work but after FOUR NIGHTS a room change or proper maintenance is required. The hotel service has been nothing but unprofessional and absolutely disgusting and has coerced my 5 star review to have a refund initiated. Please be aware. Needless to say the worst experience l have EVER experienced. Beware of room 1! Update: they have now emailed me threatening for a lawsuit for my review. Once again offering me $200 refund to remove my review. Coercion and harassment to another level!

Very disappointed with this company. The support is almost non-existent. Everything took hours for basic questions to be responded. They expected us to read a long manual instead of providing support. for example, they never mentioned that Parking is not included and parking outside is almost as expensive as the room itself. We’re not coming back to San Miguel de Allende and much less to this hotel.

This property is advertised as a hotel, but it most definitely is NOT. I specifically wanted a locally owned hotel, as the locals are rightfully protesting being priced out of their community by foreign investment. This is a Romanian/American couple who displaced a multi home unit, with their lease to rent capitalistic venture. They put some cheap make up on the interior and are raking in cash, cutting out locals. It's actually an Airbnb as well. I should have checked more closely, but by the time you get to the "check in verification" | had already paid. In addition there was a leak in the bathroom sink and a foul odor coming from the shower grate. Please do your homework and find a locally owned hotel. The HOLT is the venture capitalist last name. Not hard to find on a quick Google

I was waiting 1 hour in the front of building on the street calling to Holt! I choose this apartment because they lie it’s 100 square meters( it s less than 50!! Carpets dirty( i made videos)! I called already to Consumer Protection regarding din 100 square feet lie and they called me to go after this New year’s eve to bring them all the proofs! Apartment 31 next to me… its really nice instead!

La casa y la ubicación es excelente, pero la seguridad y la privacidad esta muy por debajo del precio. Las señoritas de la limpieza se pasaron a la casa sin tocar, ni avisar y tomaron el control de la puerta del garage. Ni en un hotel de 2 estrellas sucede eso, con que confianza puedo dejar mis cosas o a mis hijos si entra gente desconocida cuando se les da la gana. HOLT solo me pidio disculpas y a mi parecer esto es merece mas.

Worst ever booking experience

Unreliable and unsafe. The door code given to us ahead of time did not work and repeated calls to the contact person were not helpful. They had a very poor attitude and gave us multiple other door codes to try - none of which worked - it was all very disorganized and did not instill confidence. They did offer to send someone to meet us but instead they kept sending codes, including the MASTER CODE that opened all doors and all rooms at the property. Major security breach! We obviously did not feel safe after that (if they so easily gave out master code to us because we were eager to gain entry, who else would they pass it to?) and all the while the person we were speaking with was rude and impolite. I do not in any way recommend staying here or working with this company as they have shown no concern for safety of their guests. Horrible.
