While I understand that evaluations and recommendations are considered rendered services, in this case, the care I received fell below the standard that a reasonable patient should expect. At the time of my visit, I presented with symptoms strongly consistent with a diverticulitis flare. Despite this, my chart was not thoroughly reviewed, and the diagnosis given was constipation. The treatment plan provided — including the same medications I had already been using prior to seeking care — offered no new clinical benefit. As a result, I was left without appropriate diagnostic consideration or effective treatment, particularly when antibiotics may have been indicated. Because the evaluation did not meaningfully address my presenting complaint and offered no additional or effective intervention, I do not believe it is appropriate for me to be financially responsible for this visit. My request was denied. I would not recommend this company for their care and certainly not for their customer service. I would give zero stars if I could.

Paid $55 for them to send me a note that said “see a doctor.” Requested a refund and they denied it. If they can’t render me services for whatever reason, give me a refund simple as that. This is a scam. Terrible website full of bot responses. Don’t even think a real doctor took a look at my case.

I used HelixVM for a simple birth control refill—just filled out an online form, no call, no visit, nothing beyond the prescription being sent to my pharmacy. Weeks later, I discovered they submitted a $1,000 insurance claim, labeling it as an emergency physician and facility visit. I never received any medical services beyond the refill. Now I’m stuck disputing the claim with my insurance, and Helix has been evasive with no real way to speak to someone directly. If you're considering using this service, check your insurance statements carefully and be prepared to fight unexpected charges. I would not trust this group with your medical needs.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. During my scheduled call last week, the nurse showed up about 10 minutes late and abruptly ended the conversation to take another patient’s call, brushing off my attempt to explain my symptoms fully. She rushed to prescribe a single low-dose medication based on her low quality video call, ignoring the diagnosis I was given prior by actual clinic- without conducting a full evaluation or listening thoroughly— Didn’t get back to me after I sent in photos confirming my condition, not even after the call was done (since she couldn’t review with me during the call, I assume my photos I sent were ignored as a no one ever got back to me discuss nor was the prescription changed for it)—and failed to follow the proper treatment protocol, which requires two prescriptions to be taken together to even be effective per cdc treatment guidelines. To make matters worse, the dosage for the oral medication was incorrect per my body weight. I’ve spent the past six days trying to follow up. I’ve called multiple times, left voicemails, sent numerous emails and still haven’t heard back from anyone—not even a basic acknowledgment, apart from automated messages claiming they’ve notified the “medical team.” I now have to pay out of pocket just to rebook it says??? Despite not receiving a complete evaluation or treatment plan during my initial call, which was still billed to my insurance. This has been hands down the worst healthcare experience, it seems like a scam to me. Definitely reporting it and looking into the incorrect treatment they prescribed, a secondary infection they potentially caused due to incorrect initial treatment, and then they don’t get back to you as you wait and get more sick. The whole point of this virtual care is so you don’t go in office not only because youre contagious, but also for quick easy treatment. which is not here as they advertise. SCAM!! Do NOT go here ppl. I’ve been waiting for this clinic to make this right and provide me with the corrected treatment I should have been given the first time around it’s not a difficult one..

Total Scam. Never saw a doctor. They charged $2,000 for 2 refill of common medication. I never spoke with, saw, nor recieved any communication from a doctor. Who knows if this is not just a clerk. Then they did not refill both prescriptions on the initial visit. When I asked what happened to the 2nd prescription, they charged me for a second visit. These guys are crooks. $2,000 for 2 refills only? No doctor? No communication even from a clerk or robot. Stay far away.

They took my payment and then cancled my request saying it could not be preformed via telehealth. The option for my request was on their drop down menu so why would it be there if it could not be preformed. They also ran multiple additional charges through on my card and have not reversed any of them.
