Pathway is the way to go!
I didn’t know what to expect when I registered for the Pathway course. I had no immediate expectations, but I did have some trepidation on whether I’d do well in this online course or not. My concerns quickly disappeared. The instructors were pretty fabulous; experienced, competent and approachable. The live sessions were well structured and informative. The breakout sessions allowed you to put into practice the techniques taught as the instructors were skilled communicators and effective in their presentation and delivery of the lessons. The weekly lessons we did on our own were well prepared and easy to follow. The additional course material, like the manual, was detailed and relevant. The recommended reading list was very helpful, and those that I could find in audio book format were also easier for me to digest. Not all were necessary to acquire since the list was long. I asked the instructors which they recommended and I purchased those, plus a couple more that other students later recommended. I haven’t yet read or listened to them all, but the ones I did were very helpful especially since I had no coaching background and no idea what positive core psychology or any of the other terms and techniques used meant. All was taught in the course, but the additional readings helped me to solidify the concepts in my mind more fully as it gave me additional access to the language of coaching. The practicals with your coach buddies and they way the instructors reviewed them were relevant in preparing you to coach on your own and instructor feedback was powerful in moving me forward. I do believe that this course has given me the skills and understanding necessary to coach confidently. I am also grateful for the new friendships that I’ve made and the continued contact and support we’re giving one another. Best course ever!!!!
