Not sure what happened to Headspace but now just feels like a money-grab business. I tried to cancel my subscription as per their instructions. However, they remove the 'cancel' button they say will be there. Their suggested alternative is to contact them via email to cancel. However, they do not respond to you. I've asked them to cancel my subscription, and am still waiting for them to even respond. Whilst this is all going on, they're still trying to take out £50 from my account. Even though my subscription is classed as 'inactive'. Why are you trying to take money almost daily from an 'inactive' account? It's ironic that they cause unnecessary stress around money, when the whole point of Headspace is calming the mind and reducing stress. Maybe they'll create a session for 'Stress caused by Headspace subscription'. Used to love Headspace back in it's earlier days. It felt honest and simple. Not anymore.

Love teacher Andy and headspace! In my opinion I miss the simplicity of the original app. There are too many functions when I just want meditation guidance and sleep meditation music. Not as user friendly as it used to be. Keep it minimal. Just meditation…

It's a good product but they are still significantly overcharging for renewal subscriptions vs if you want to cancel. This sort of thing was bad practice 20 years ago.

Vorausschicken möchte ich, dass ich Headspace eigentlich wirklich toll finde. Aber: wenn es ein Problem gibt, versagt das System komplett! Die haben mich vor vier Wochen rausgeschmissen, weil angeblich meine Zahlungsdaten nicht mehr stimmen ( dabei hat sich wirklich nix verändert!) und kriegen es jetzt nicht gebacken. Ich möchte meinen Verlauf behalten. - nach 5 Jahren! Und die sind völlig unfähig, das wiederherzustellen. Daher nur 2 Sterne!

The app I find to be the only one that works for me, it's organisation makes it so accessible and the voices aren't annoying like every other app and they have short meditations that are good for days where you don't have time or feel unmotivated. HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!! I made my own account and purchased the annual subscription expecting a 14 day free trial first as they promised and immediately made me pay YET WHEN I REFRESHED THE APP IT REMOVED THE SUBSCRIPTION SO THEY LITERALLY SCAMMED ME WHEN IM A STUDENT IN THE MIDDLE OF A LIVING CRISIS WITH BAD MENTAL HEALTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prior to September 2022 this was a great tool for me especially the sleepcast feature. Unfortunately they inexplicably and without prior notice withdrew support for Alexa devices and the service is now only available by using a mobile device or web browser. Customer services state that connecting your phone to a Bluetooth speaker achieves the same thing, however I cannot activate this using my voice and furthermore I have to stay awake to disconnect from Bluetooth otherwise other notifications wake me up! They have turned a streamlined user friendly experience into a frustrating and clunky one!

Headspace is hurtful and demeaning toward older users. It intentionally excludes all people who look 'old.' Both the instructors and the people interviewed are meant to look young, twenties-thirties. I feel that I don't exist when I open Headspace. Many of their meditations are too similar but with different titles.

DON’T SIGN UP INSTANTLY AND SAVE YOURSELF 30%, POSSIBLY MORE! I’m going through a very difficult period in my life following the recent death of my father after a long battle with cancer. I turned to Headspace on my iPhone to explore opportunities for self-help. I chose not to sign up at that time and pay the $92 annual subscription.Shortly afterwards I received an email offering me a 20% discount on the previous published fee. Once again, I didn't take up the offer. A few days later I received a further email now offering me a 30% reduction to the annual fee. If my personal trauma was such that I instantly signed up, I would never have been aware that for the same assistance, that I could have obtained it at a much cheaper price. I know we have discounts on retail items but I find it unethical on a welfare site. Some people are feeling anxiety & depression due to the cost-of-living crisis and struggling to pay bills effecting their mental health. I don't have any issue whatsoever with charging a fee for a service. My issue is that it should be a set fee that covers all costs with a profit margin to ensure sustainability. Not overcharging people that didn’t show any reluctance and who didn’t need enticements. If Headspace can still make a profit on the reduced offer than I really feel sorry for the people lining the pockets of the creators paying their extra 30% profit margin. In my opinion it’s corporate greed before human welfare.
