Thank you for sharing your experience. We are truly sorry to hear what you've been through. We want to assure you that the individuals and activities you've described are NOT associated with Handmade.com. Unfortunately, our company's name and reputation are being misused by scammers operating fraudulent work-from-home and online task schemes. Handmade.com is a legitimate online marketplace connecting customers with independent artisans who create and sell handcrafted products. We do not operate task-based earning programs, require individuals to make deposits or cryptocurrency payments, or charge fees to correct supposed errors or release earnings. What you've described is consistent with the fraudulent activity that numerous other victims have reported to us. The claims about corrupted files, purchasing errors, and additional payments needed to recover your earnings are common tactics used by these scammers to pressure victims into sending even more money. Please do not send them any additional funds. We strongly encourage you to report your experience to the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov and contact your financial institution or payment providers immediately to discuss any possible recovery options. We have an ongoing case with the FBI regarding these individuals impersonating our company. If you're willing, we would greatly appreciate you forwarding the screenshots, conversations, and any other information you've collected to [email protected]. We will gladly add your information to our existing case to assist with the investigation. We understand how upsetting and financially devastating this experience can be, and we sincerely hope you are able to recover your losses. Thank you for speaking out and helping bring awareness to this ongoing scam. Your experience may prevent someone else from falling victim. Sincerely, Robbie P.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're very relieved to hear that you recognized the warning signs and were able to walk away before losing any money. We do want to clarify that Handmade.com is in no way affiliated with this work-from-home opportunity or the individuals promoting it. Unfortunately, scammers have been impersonating our company and using our name without authorization to recruit individuals for fraudulent work-from-home assembly jobs and other schemes involving cryptocurrency and personal payments. Handmade.com is a legitimate online marketplace connecting customers with talented artisans and their handcrafted creations. We do not offer paid craft assembly jobs, require cryptocurrency payments, or ask individuals to deposit their own money to earn income. We have reported this fraudulent activity to the appropriate authorities, including the FBI, and continue working to raise awareness and protect others. If you're willing, we would appreciate any screenshots or contact information you may have from your interactions with "Lisa." You can send them to [email protected], and we'll add them to our ongoing investigation. Thank you again for speaking up. We're grateful you avoided becoming a victim, and we hope your experience helps others recognize this scam before it's too late. Sincerely, Robbie P.
